Heyo guys, I own a CD copy of CoH, but I don't have access to said CD to install it right now. I'm just wondering if there is a LEGAL method of downloading CoH (I assume that this is possible b/c keys are tied to relic accounts).

Downloading image of the game if you posses it is not against law, most people download "back ups" not having orginal game which is against the law.

If you have a steam account, you can add your Company of Heroes CD Key to your account; which will allow steam to automatically download the latest version of Company of Heroes (no patching!). Probably the best method in the situation where you have no CDs, but have the Keys.

I've tried that, but my retail key won't work in steam  Oh, and I'm on a college campus, so I'm loath to use BT even though I can do so legally. You never know... |

Downloading an image of the game should be legal, especially since coh requires online authetication before you can play.

Downloading games isn't illegal. Cracking them and playing them is. Techinically, you can buy the game in a store, take out the cd key, and throw the rest in the trash, and just download it. Even a cd crack is'nt illegal, most laws (in canada at least) have more to do with distributing or profiting from it somehow.
