Smokaz, to reply about Ender's Game.

That's because it was written as an introduction to the character, Ender Wiggin and his family. Read the series that comes after, that's what the story is really about.

Starship Troopers the novel is completely different then Starship Troopers the bastard offsping of failure and greed.

Seriously, while i find The movie entertaining they need to go back and make Starship Troopers again and have it inline with the book. The book is just that much better. If you can read with any degree of normality you could finish the book in a day of easy reading, if you pick up and put down books alot 2-3 days max.

Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood is like a combination of 1984 and Brave New World, with some Catch 22 and Catcher in the Rye thrown in to the mix.

It is a phenomenal book, and it is literature. It's also fairly recent so you can spot current events in it.

One day it will be a compulsory part of most english curriculums I suspect.
