Aww I was hoping to beat down your idea with IHTs. Ah well in that case both my allied accounts are ready to  go, I've got no tanks anyway.

Well, enjoy losing horribly.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

Tym 25 Lber's wouldn't work. American howtizers are fine because they can be decrewed quickly, but British arty wouldn't work for this. Anything that can't be brought down quickly by small arms fire would not work for this game type.

AB rifles support teams and medics, yeah, AB would have a big advantage! either way sounds like fun, too bad i work to much to get a chance to play >=(

Originally I'd have to say Wehr would always win but if you bring EIRR doctrines into the mix it'd actually be pretty balanced I reckon. Still, for me COH is the full package or nothing.

I'll more than likely play with my rca, my inf is mainly tank busters. SE might be fun to play with though with the mines and stuff Smiley has a nyone done one of these yet? I gotta go for a bit but i'd like to try one of these when i get back in about 20-30 minutes.

also, anybody have a list of the rules, just so we can have them down pat?

TO THIS IDEA!

LOL

For rules I would just say all infantry (including officers and support teams) and infantry-based artillery (nebels, mortars, howitzers, etc) only.  Stukas, calliopes, hotchkiss stukas, and hummels are not allowed.  PE can have all of their support vehicles (MTHT, munitions ht, vampire ht, support scout car) except for ATHTs or IHTs.    I'm a bit reluctant to allow emplacements as they take a long time to take down with small-arms fire, but I suppose we can allow it for now since there is always the use of flamers.  All off-maps are allowed and the only vehicles allowed should be anti-sniper call-ins (jeeps, bikes, schwimms).

Anyone disagree?  I want to get a finalized version of the rules and post it on the OP.

My only recommendation is that you take out emplacements. Waaay to damn long to kill with small arms. If dual LMG's or a commando squad can't destroy it at point blank range in less than 5 seconds, it's probably too tough...unless it has no gun, like a muni or vamp HT. Yeah, you can kill emplacements with flamers, but in an infantry only game, small arms should be sufficient to bring down any target you may encounter in a reasonable time frame.

This made me remember how some idiots back in the TLS days bought RRs for games where you could only use infantry lolz.

Mortars, man-packed AT, at guns, grenades.  Any sensible team would have a single atg at least.

No they wouldn't. Because you shouldn't be allowed to have anything that isn't easily killable with small arms. The whole point is to have a game where you have fun with infantry and don't have to worry about vehicles. How hard is that to understand? Mortars and grenades at least have other purposes, but if you need manpacked AT or AT guns in an "infantry only" game, then it isn't an infantry only game.

The off-maps won't be much of a problem.  There are going to be some people who blob, and these people will be hit the hardest by the off-maps, but for those of us who don't blob we won't have much to worry about once the off-maps are used up.  Besides there aren't really any off-maps you can't dodge if you're just microing 2 squads at a time, with the only exception being strafing runs.

AB are limited to 2 strafes and 2 bombing runs.  I still think, even in inf only, Aerial Superiority is one of the weakest T4's on the AB tree simply because once you run out of bombing and strafing runs you basically have no T4 anymore.  Raid Assault would still be really powerful because it makes your AB so strong.
