Get rid of the text bevel and emboss, normalize the brightness of the bg (seems to be different for the last 3 banners), and decrease the bevel of the background image significantly, and it will look really good.
Not sure if it was a problem earlier (saw the edit dated today on OP), but the coloration on the banners could just look different because your eye is comparing them to the picture superimposed thereupon, which have different tones resulting in a slightly different looking shade in the background flag. |

They only need a few pixels shaved off to make them fit in the forums space without needing the scroll bar. Also pretty sure we could get these hosted up on the site as Default additions so you could select one to use(not 3... or 12!)
