I've never really been into the setting, probably because it's such an underrated part of WW2 and never got nearly the amount of attention as the Western front, but I'm definitely looking forward to checking this out.

Same story as always. Well, it is just too much crappy heroism for me, after a few years you tend to get tired of the same old stuff.

I am so looking forward to this movie. Sunday night should be awesome the show is based on three marines. One was the first marine recipient of the MoH he got during guadacanal John Basilone. check this out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_BasiloneThe show looks awesome and should be just as good as BoB. which was another fab show. Steven ambrose who wrote that book was an awesome writer and even wrote a few other great book on WW2 including Citizen Soldiers, Eishenower and one you Brits may find interesting, Pegasus bridge which was about the 6th Airborne at Normandy, (think it was 6th). But anyway it was about the initial landings and told the story of Denny Brotheridge (sp) first allied soldier killed in action in Normandy. great read. So yes I will be glued this sunday and for the next 10 weeks. ps everyone is entitled to opinions but if you didnt like BoB your a heretic..lol

I'll reserve judgment on this one. BoB was really good but that trailer made me think of Pearl Harbour which is a shockingly bad film. Too many women involved and dehumanised japs.

I think everyone who saw Saving Private Ryan was tricked into seeing Peral Harbour.

Akranadas' Greatest Hits, Volume 1: Vet has nothing to do with unit preformance. We are serious about enforcing this, and I am sure you all want to be able to have your balance thought considered by the development team with some biased, sensationalist coming into your thread and ruining it.

I think Roger Ebert described Pearl Harbour best: "Pearl Harbor" is a two-hour movie squeezed into three hours, about how on Dec. 7, 1941, the Japanese staged a surprise attack on an American love triangle. -Wind
