Hello

My Name is Jonatan, you know me as Duck or die, aka duckordie.
I have one problem with EiR:R, we who map get no feedback from the community.
This is a Major problem.

What can we do to get people to post map feedback?

PP bonus (But how? The mods will be bussy -.-)
0.5% Extra chance that a unit will Survive an death in battle, and will be back with 50% xp loss
Get a Star under user name on the forums
Special units

I really don't want to see my maps have to go due people don't see its balanced, and not knowing I can't do a jack shit without map feedback.

How do we give ALL mappers feedback?

Mm yes rewards would be good but require atleast a paragraph. I like this idea.

Heres one feedback, symmetrical boring maps are even maps <---------- not worth reward

Yeah duck or die,add some variation to your maps,i don't remember if france is your map...

But what i'd love to see added to france is remove the road along the middle. from spawn to spawn and just add shrubbary and space out the middle city so you can't create a cluster fuck in the middle maybe add more buildings...I'm not too sure tho i haven't played it in a while.

giving rewards is just lame. people need something to start with -- they find it difficult to post their meaning on a blank topic about nothing.

unkown simply needs to start a topic telling the map is gonna get removed becouse blaablalbal. then others will go OMG NO WAY HAXX BLABLALBALBLALBBA NO FAIR and you get feedback.

EDIT:

my own feedback:
the problem that chateao has is (i think) that its very much the same all around the map. for instance in abbeville you have THE TOWN, THE CHATEAO, and THE OPEN FIELD WITH CHURCHES!!

maps need to have their USP,
also the spawns on the side r really lame and the chateao itself is completely surrounded by groves, what makes it useless. the chateao should be the main area where the fighting is going on, but its not.

A lot of people have opinions of maps, but they never get around to voicing their opinions on the forums. I'm sure if we offered intensives people would actually do it.

There is two kind of maps. Maps with small problems where people will not consider it a greater problem and thus will not report it in the forums.
And maps like Ghosttown that people will hate, and will have lost hope and faith in after some games Tongue

i really love EiR:R for its maps, no so symmetrical and boring as vCoH. I vote for realistic, non just balance maps Smiley Yes, balanced maps are necessary for competitions etc, but maps with a with a plot are very fun, and allow me to feel "CoH felt more like the movies and stories you have seen and read about squad-level combat in WW2".
my wish - take same real operations with real maps Smiley

AHHHHH That was a great map. Would be perfect for 4v4s. I'm sure people would play it if you brought it back. Do you still have all our old maps?

Sword Beach - Best map ever!

/sarcasm

I believe most player's opinions were something along the line of - it felt like one of those cheat maps you made in starcraft where you gave yourself 20 marines at the start of the game and just rushed your opponent who was like wtf.

It was just too imbalanced. Like north sturz x1000

Duck,

Why not ask people directly what they think of your map through PMs?

Unknown didn't kill it.
It's just the map is set as a 3v3 when it's size indicates that it should be AT LEAST a 7v7. Even then I think it would be just too big.

Duck,

Why not ask people directly what they think of your map through PMs?

Due if I speak upfront with them, they all say: "No its a good map"
And nothing more, Exept for unkown, he just random pick maps to hate <3

If your map gets plays and no feedback, isn't that a good thing? It means the map is fine.

Yeah, as i said, no need to force feedback when people think it's ok. Don't fix it if it works.

The problem is that when someone plays a new map, they find something to complain about but doesn't tell the mapmaker about it and then when other players ask if we can play that map, they will just say it's broken or imbalanced.

I would love to try new maps and give feedback but have two problems with it:
1. I don't read on the forum so much so I miss that new maps have been made.
2. And when I see a map I haven't played there is allways one in the game who doesn't want to play it.

If someone PM:ed me I would give my opinion about the map.
