I guess we could probably remove smoke again and add a delay on the airplane. That way it's less destructive in 2vs2s and is not necessarily rendered useless on bigger maps. (It could just be a recon run flying over)

So with Strafe... If i Blob i will be safe and Squads not get gibed? 

Honestly just having someone admit that strafe is Broken is what is so infuriating.  Not one person that could change strafe has said, I think something is wrong with it, Instead its the argument about how its something we need to deal with it... 

Currently its an Instant OFF MAP. 

Yous how me what else is Insant and as quick and Reactionary as a strafe and i will be wrong, But EVery Off map is Not ment to PWN.  Its ment to be Supplemental.. 

But if Off maps are ment to Kill units and Come down Fast, Take a V1, Howie Barage, Firestorm, and make them Come down all with a 1 Second delay so that before the smoke hits the ground the 1st round will hit.  And see how off maps work on the same playign feild. e

Wasn't it already said it is not an instant off-map on large maps because of the time it takes to travel?

I think the issue is fighting an airborne player on small maps.  Only thing I can see is make it a area of denial weapon where multiple planes come on like I think Gamesguy recommended?

A variable delay? I don't think that's possible.  It's like saying sticky bombs should recharge every 5 seconds in a 2v2 and take 40 seconds in a 4v4... it's just one ability, not multiple copies of itself.

Actually that could work if they were in fact completely different abilities that look the same. If the launcher has a 2v2 up it could display the 2v2 strafing run (with the desired delay) and so on. It would depend on the launchers ability to display a different ability depending on the number of players.

But then the separate abilities would need to be fine tuned.

Just ate 2 strafes on bocage, bullets landed before flares. No chance to react.

Why can a t2 remove 600 mp and 370 mu(1schreck+medkitx2) + vet in one second?
you can also buy another of those with some SP.

so that is 4 stormschrecks killed in my company. for one t2.
im not even using doubleschrecks, but still that is 66% of my handheld AT wiped out.
only other AT i have is a pak and a panther.

this time it wasnt even the shortest distance. it was diagonal and we were fighting almost in the middle.
not like it should be OK if the distance is shorter.

strafle kills mp44s 1st, next strafle shoots at AB, but the AB quickly dig underground and come back up after it's safe to kill the unsupported vehicles.
