there can be other nice benefits than giving advantages on battlefield in a persistence mod like being able to give (vet) units own names or having custom skins
While i agree, that having too many advantages is not the best idea, giving them a complete unique feature (like unit names) might be more fatal than what we have now, when all the new guys come in here and ask why they can't have that and probably will never ever have that.

Didn't think it would Unknown, and also please be a little understanding with me since i'm one of those new players that just got into EiR the last 10 days or so (and liking it very very much too, except for the part i only get games with outrageously unbalanced opponents and getting my ass kicked all the time )

Either way, we have already determined there will be no more test accounts being used outside of a test environment.

That's right I say!! Who needs to worry about credibility anyway?!! I say be damned to all the elitist snobs who think you have to actually contribute to the mod in some way (other than trolling and being the resident complainer) to have your opinion be considered!! Down with Nazi EiR! Preach on brother!!! The mod is better for your presence!! -Wind

As I was going to post in the other thread before it got locked : IMO people who do work for the mod should be rewarded.
I don't agree with this. I know that I personally, when mapping, always did it to give back to the community, not because I expected something in return. Whoring the mod out on pps just doesn't sit well with me. It just seems wholly irrational to not experience the mod the same way the community does. Hey, when you put most of your free time into development, there isn't much time left to experiment the mod just like a normal player don't you think? Some of us have real works. And anyways these rants were not aimed at the developers, but at those silly people who reap the benefits (to some extent for just being around for a long time ie : the patricians) without actually contributing to the mod.
Like who?

It's the good of the mod people like you and me are thinking of!!! BIG DICK FOR PRESIDENT!
-Wind
Which president? But I think the president of our country (Taiwan) sucks. I think he's inept.

there can be played games against each other using testaccounts on each side but to to use rank9 companies for open games where the average rank of playerbase is maybe 5 or less is just not right or even more worse after company resets starting with rank9 companies from beginning

That wasn't allowed ever either, excluding some wierd occasions where both teams didn't mind.

Preferably with actual EVIDENCE. Btw - lol @ wind.
