Since the beginning of my Commandos company, I've had but one goal:

To get 4 squads of vet 3 Commandos.

Due to an unfortunate incident one of the four squads were declared KIA during battle and replacements had to be trained from scratch, but alas, my work has paid off.

Bloody hell that took a while.

Now I dare say I'm about to be hit by atleast a dozen different posts all that can be condensed to "So what?" Well, my simple reply is, I've managed to pull it off at my level and skill, thus I'm proud of it, and thought I'd post about it.

Now, to have some decent games with them, and let them die gloriously in combat rather than by a reset in a couple of weeks. >.<

Next step, a Vet 3 Jeep!

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

Well, using a Commando coy is actually rather hard imo. Games do tend to go 50/50 for me, hell a couple of days ago it was 20/16... It changes fast.

Being a user of Armour, RCA, and RSE before, I can definitely say that Commandos has been the hardest. Before and after the Doctrines.

The Commandos were the only things that I explicitly cared about vetting. Everything else was deemed expendable if it could help win a game through it's demise - However, I have gained a fair little bit of normal vet via somehow surviving.

If you watched me use those Commandos in game, you'll know I haven't held back with them either... I've had more than one close call with them.

Tough units to vet indeed. Congrats hicks!

They're also took the top 2 CW unit leaderboard slots too Smiley

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

Congratulations hicks.

Question - how many times have they actually proven to be cost effective? Tongue

Congratulations hicks.

Question - how many times have they actually proven to be cost effective? Tongue

Surprisingly... More times than I expected.

But then again, I expected no more than perhaps 4 cases of them being cost effective.

I honestly can't remember every instance, but they have shown that they can be very useful IF you can get circumstances on your side.

Recently... Was playing a 4 v 4, and a HMG and a squad of Assault Grens were about to push on Darksabre's infantry, so I had him deliberately rush the HMG with his Rifles to grab it's attention. Two of my commandos slipped the left flank under the cover of smoke and ace'd the HMG and the Assault Grens instantly with no losses to either squad, staying in for about another 5-10 minutes getting the occasional kill or three.

Not an outstanding example of what they have done, but it was the most recent one to mind.

My infantry died with great honor, knowing that those that killed them would soon be joining them.
