Permanently increases penetration against heavy armour while reducing splash somewhat.

It does disturb me that non doctrinal Panthers can win against Pershings at range... But then again, you can get around this by simply not engaging them, or engaging them with help.

Avoid Jagdpanthers like the plague unless you happen to out gun it with 3 Pershings (Yes... I've done this before lawl) King Tigers should only be engaged if you catch them with their pants down, otherwise just kill off their support with your Pershing.

Tigers can be engaged with hit and run shots. Take a shot, back off, whittle down his support while you aint.

Panthers though... Catch them point blank and keep moving - And never show your arse if at all possible. Strategic use of hedges can aid in keeping close or ambushing them as Axis commanders seem to overlook the fact that you can crush them with your Pershing. Otherwise, grab a helping hand to take them down.

Otherwise... Go infantry hunting, and make sure you nail every MG that you see to make your Allies life easier. Mortars too if the opportunity arises.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

OBM is win if you run a pair of Pershings tbh. Can field the equivalent of 6 Pershings throughout a match if you look after them... And at vet 3, it can be a lethal presence.

Hell, even running 1 Pershing with OBM has it's perks... And being able to keep any armour running for longer is better.

which one would you choose? I cant decide, both are helpful:
Calliope: useful for taking out well defended areas and killing support weapons and paks etc.
and can be used to take down a vehicle or some inf. (I have next generation vehicles)
Pershing: counter to the heavy axis armor, many players have tigers panthers etc.

if u use ur pershing against other heavys u make a mistake pershings are infantry killers...

I added a replay for u to see what u can do with ur perhings if u use it carefully and avoid from heavys..

I remember my 2xCCT buffed pershings. Those were so awesome - take on a KT head on, without any micro and watch it win Grin.

On a more contemporary note - Pershings with HVAP rounds utterly destroy Tigers, no ifs ands or buts - the Tiger simply dies and the pershinng moves on to do... what exactly? Other than for fighting tigers - HVAP is pretty much useless. You're not gonna fight a Jagd with a pershing for the simple reason it's a bloody jagd - you're not taking it down without AT gun support anyway. KTs will also rip you a new one, if you don't manage to out-micro it(which is easier said than done nowadays). Whereas you lose quite a large proportion of your anti-infantry capability by getting the HVAP upgrade. This is the reason why I'll personally always take OBM over AP rounds in a pershing company. If I truly need the extra AT - I'll buy a pair of AP rounded AT guns, or even an M10/Hellcat. It's not that hard to sacrifice some riflemen to accomodate those units into your company. Whereas delegating 1 or both of your pershings entirely into AT duty? That's a somewhat risky investment.

Pershings rape panthers up close anyway - HVAP makes nearly no difference. OBM, however, with an extra repair after the fight is over - does.

I swapped my OBM for HVAP.
Many players like to start with a tiger these days so I'm looking for a good start calling with a pershing.

To Axis: GTFO my thread, my start callins are secret and only allies can know it.
