I read that the stuart was changed to be the CW's 50mm puma, but I just realize that the stuart is missing one very important thing.

missed round doesn't pass through the stuart. I've had stationary tank shooting at a stationary puma only for the round to pass harmless through the puma, but I never see this happen with stuart before. The stuart may have the m8's armor type, but afaik missed rounds can still impact the stuart's hull.

I think the stuart should have higher health (~450), or better firepower to compensate for the lack of the phase armor. Of course, we could just give the stuart phase armor, but phase armor is annoying and this is turning the stuart into a mirror unit.

With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine. However, this is not necessarily a good idea. It is hard to be sure where they are going to land, and it could be dangerous sitting under them as they fly overhead. -- RFC 1925

It was discussed whether to give stuart phase when we changed the armor type, the decision at the time was no.

With the recent vehicle price increase that could possibly be looked into again.

Could actually make it a light tank and not an armored car...

Against most weapons, staghound is about as tough as a stuart/M8, and less so against shreks.

in DPS yes, but what you see ingame is that the m8 will simply get hit and dies while the stag gets hit but stays raping the shit out of everything. reasons: luck, more than 50% chanse to hit, being at close range = always hit.

No not in dps.

In toughness.  The M8/stuart is tougher than the staghound against a lot of weapons.

Staghound has 450 hp and stuart armor, M8 has 300 hp and M8 armor.

Pak vs staghound: 1x acc, 1x dmg, EHP 450.
Pak vs greyhound: .8x acc 1x dmg, EHP 375.

P4 vs staghound: 1x acc, 1x dmg, EHP 450.
P4 vs greyhound: .675x acc, 1x dmg, EHP 444.

Shrek vs staghound: 1x acc, 1x dmg, EHP 450.
Shrek vs greyhound: .584x acc, .7x dmg, EHP 734.

The staghound is one literally one of the easiest light vehicles to kill in the game.  It is easier to kill than a M8 and puma 80% of the time.  High hp doesn't matter if you can't dodge anything or take reduced damage.

yeah, the stuart dies a long but it should have some ty pe of armor armor, it IS a light tank after all and not a vehicle it's tracked and has armor plating, while the staghound and m8 are wheeled. Stag armor 9-44 mm, stuart 13-51mm

btw, change the Staghound to Deerhound and T-17 to Staghound, that's what the brits called it Cheesy

and to be truthful, the US never had the t-17, they went for the m8, tis history. so the americans have a t-17 is highly inaccurate. Using units that were in production but not used until late or after the war is different, using a unit that was never in service for that country? Totally different.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

the stag-hound also cost extra, and it's not fully effective unless you buy the turret mg

Once again thats a well known bug for the Puma, it has nothing to do with the stuart.

and? i don't see your problem the puma is the only vehicle were that happens thats why it can "dodge" RRs somehow (not cost effective but somehow)

It is no bug, It is a feature of  a vehicle that can be set on/off.
