Both have same processor, gfx, and ram, but the satalite has a larger screen, cheaper and has larger HDD, so id say go with that one.

Yah but no LED backlit display and screen size is the same for both apparently $30 gets you minus 180GB (i dont use that much HDD space anyways) more RPM on the HDD (bad for laptops poor cooling) and an LED backlit display (this is very good but I don't know how important it is?)

Laptop cooling is not as bad as people make out. Just dont use it on top of a blanket or carpet. On a desk or such should never overheat if its not broken.
For instance, I'm running an I5, GTS 360m 1gb card, 7200rpg 500gb HD and such....all the time...no heat issues at all.

Great... My dad saw this and can't help himself. Its a slightly better than his laptop (0.3ghz faster CPU, better cooling, bigger HDD) and $100 less than what he payed for his 1 year ago. but it has intel HD graphics... His laptop does play coh 1v1 replays so hopefully i wont totally suck ass in 4v4. (he has an extra stick of DDR2 for it so it will have 4GB ram) http://www.walmart.ca/details?assetId=70095&fromSearch=truethis means i will see you guys after the summer assuming freshman year isn't too tough

If you buy a laptop with an Intel video card with the intention of playing any game more complex than minesweeper - you should thank evolution for letting you slide.

Any integrated chipset is a double fault. Not only can you not play anything you'd like to but you also can't upgrade it without upgrading associated parts.

honestly I don't actually ever hope. I am incapable of it between the atheism and autism. they were sold out and so i ended up getting this: ACER ($486 after taxes etc, $428 before) Win 7 home premium 64 bit AMD P320 (2.1, 1M L2) 15.6" LCD, LED-backlit ATI mobility Radeon 4250 4GB DDR3 250GB HDD (will replace with 320 that we have) 1.3 megapixel camera (dont care) 6-cell Li battery (cell # does make a difference in longevity but only after 2 years assuming it lives that long)

You could have just bought a brick instead of that video card. More or less same efficiency.
Otherwise, I guess it's a decent enough netbook.

a 5*4 pixel resolution doesn't count as "able to run".
