I'm on low settings and I use panthers all the time. Never have a problem.
I LOVE the black and orange(?) skin for the panther. That one looks smexy as hell
Always play better with that skin as well. Guess, if it looks the part, it plays the part.
Edit:- Are you launching the launcher through the autoupdater? If so, That could be f'ing up the skins (least...thats what ground said in the FIRST post )

naw, launching through the auto updater will only make the game want to erase the Europeinruinsdata.sga, which only has a few normal and reward unit skins on it.

Just shortcut your launcher to desktop to get around that. There's an icon for it in your CoH main folder.

the main stuff is in the externalskinpack.sga, which you dont need to cheat the system to use.

Yeah, pink skins happen to me when my gfx cards get too hot. Its kinda like an artificier glitch, and yes it happens alot to panzergrens for some reason. Id put money down that this is what is happening to hicks, considering that by the look of the screenshot your running your game on "wtf-pretty" mode.

That one might be a problem with the europeinruinsdata.sga.

Did you accidently start downloading a new copy of this file since you were having trouble getting around the auto updater?

My suggestion is to watch this replay. If the pink hats dissapear, its your gfx card.

If they stay, go download a copy of the europeinruinsdata.sga from the first post.

if neither work, just forget it and let the auto updater overwrite that file.

I'm fairly sure that my GFX Card isn't about to blow up as every other game I've had works fine.

On top of that, I've never had this issue since installing your skinpack, and I installed it only into the EiR Archives folder.

I'll re-watch the replay to see if the Pink Panther show's itself again, watch this space.

Bollocks. Because I crashed (Oh yeah, I've crashed twice using ya skinpack) the main replay file decided not to save so I don't have the replay.

Just realised that when I ran the auto-updater it downloaded the data file. My caffiene-riddled-sleep-deprived brain forgot about this. How do I go about installing the skinpack properly without prompting EiRR to redownload the data file? Ugh, this is potentially my bad. o.o

Reinstalled the skinpack, got a shortcut on my desktop to the launcher without running the auto-updater, started a game... Few seconds into the game I saw pink infantry in all of the PE HT's including the chaps manning the weaponry. I used a recon run. >.> Oh, it crashed a moment after I took the screenshot of it.

I'm gonna get my hands on the normal data file and uninstall the skinpack and see if that helps. Headache inducing fun times.

What crash are you getting?

Is it the "not able to create temp folder" thing?

This is the most elusive bug ever found in CoH, some think that it has to do with your system's memory (gfx mem) and it only happens on 32 bit systems.

Almost all of these skins were created in like 1600x800 resolution, so it does demand alittle more from your system to display everything.

One more thing before you get rid of the skin pack. Knock your "texture" settings down by 1 and try it.
Only noticable difference will be that some infantry dont look as crisp, but because the skins were created in HD resolution their textures look good all the time.

Almost all the american infantry will look fantastic even on the lowest settings for the most part.

Try that, and if you still have problems just remove the externalskinpack and update EIR to fix it all back.

also, you by no means have to use both the files. The EIRRdata.sga is just extra, so it doesnt rly matter if you update, just gotta update the file all the way for the overwrite.
