So I've been playing EIRR for close to 3 years now, and I'm still struggling to get my head around the practical use for the BRITISH variation of this unit. Without a LT, they won't hit standing targets and I don't really want to pay 75mu for something that will barely cover units with smoke.

I do understand that if enemy units are charging straight at them, then they'll destroy most of the squad instantly. These just seem infinitely more useful for the PE player taking on hordes of riflemen.

So what i'd like to know is who uses them, and how do you use them well enough to warrant the use of 75mu per squad?

Cheers.

rifle nades work better against units in green or garrison(buildings) cover as well being able to shoot over obstacles.  The ability to lay down smoke also helps them.  I use them in pairs or with a bren squad in my brit companies, and try to drop smoke anytime there is an engagement, as the cooldown isnt extremely long.  Helps avoid being pinned by mgs and rifle nades dont suffer from smoke penalties so also in standup fights.  As most people tend to get into cover in EIR, it helps to have a few riflenades to scatter them out of it so other units can pick them off.

Use riflenades against units in cover.

Thanks Crazy and Jack, I was unaware that they recieve bonuses against units in green cover. They sound like an extremely useful support unit nonetheless. I currently use them in a pair of two.. They seem to gain vet really easily due to always being so far away from enemy fire, especially when they're paired up with a captain.

They are for all intents and purposes the British equivalent of the Flame-thrower.

Instead of random crits ya got random accuracy, but the base principles of an anti-cover/anti-building weapon still apply.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

They beat everything if you use them in groups of 4 with an LT.

22 Pop of Infantry really SHOULD kill any other infantry that it engages.

But then again... Why would ya want that much infantry on field at once dedicated to dropping other infantry?

4 rifle tommie groups + firefly.. you basically have the counters to everything you may face. just need some good micro and some basic tactics of choosing your battles with your riflenades and you have a real strong late coming combat force.

they're also like flamers in the way that riflenades dont suffer from smoke, so you can lay down smoke and go charging in and you'll be hitting them and they can't hit u. They also get a pretty good accuracy bonus seemingly if u put them in a building.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

rifle only get damage bonus against garrisoned units.
The rifle nade merely ignore light cover.
Heavy cover still provide directional cover, so the grenade have to land over the sandbag.

If you don't like having to babysit a LT then I would suggestion roll a heavy rifle grenade build as lt doesn't provide much of a bonus to the nades. Maybe vickers with rifle nade.

With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine. However, this is not necessarily a good idea. It is hard to be sure where they are going to land, and it could be dangerous sitting under them as they fly overhead. -- RFC 1925
