Technically it'll become possible again to vet up from 1 - 3 or more in one game yeah, but the requirements are probably going up a tad. In addition, vet 4 & vet 5 will be very rare. (And just there for bragging rights/sense of achievement anyway. Who knows though, maybe we'll chuck in a fancy new skin or unit name)

Going off the bolded statement, we have quite a few new models that have their roles overlapping with existing units. (ex. M36 jackson's role overlapps with the M10) Creating new roles would be a clusterfuck for balance.

I have always loved the idea that when a tank crew hits vet 4 or 5, they receive one of these new vehicles/improved tanks as a reward.

No stat changes from the normal unit, just a cosmetic upgrade, and everyone playing will know exactly how renown this tank crew is, that they were special enough to receive a rare/experimental/special tank.

M10 vet: vet 1 -> vet 2 -> vet3 -> M36 jackson & vet 4 symbol -> vet 5 (the unit gets a name)

That's a good idea actually Groundfire. Currently those are planned as "reward units" on the warmap though, but technically that doesn't mean they all need differentiated/better combat roles and couldn't also be a vet 5 reward for existing vehicles.

More ideas on vet 4 & vet 5 stuff (non combat bonuses) are always welcome.

So they should look different than the first three, indicating ceremonial rather than practical status? Something like this:

Those are actually quite cool.

Hicks approves.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

Those are amazing Vertiggo, I prefer the first, ceremonial, personally, easier to recognise.

We'll be taking you in for this artwork, if you don't mind Tongue

Vert. The second lot look about 3 times better, keeps to the style of the vet symbols. These are freaking epic though. I hope EiR ask to take you on for a few things, and you accept Cheesy

If we do the Vet 5 thing I'd like to see each nations Highest military award used for that icon. Maybe it's just me but the VC is awesome. Seeing  more then 1 of it on a less then spectacular unit just seems... depressing.

With the vet 5 requirements I had in mind, the amount of units with a VC would be slim anyway.
