How is micro rewarded when it's economically better to just let full squads die?

coz in vcoh u can just retreat a squad once its damaged and reinforce for free without caring. now u need to be careful.

Or just let units die and buy full squads for 50% cheaper?

^ exactly. theres no reason to try and keep your units alive and retain vet if you can just let them fight it out and then get a new squad in no time.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

ehhm, you just said it yourself. retain vet.

and do you really think throwing squads in their death is gonna make you win the game? new squads are not 50% cheaper, reinforcing is 50% more expensive.

there is no reason why reinforing should be cheaper. it was either this or no reinforcing and more expensive also makes sense so thats what it has become.
EIR doenst even have reinforcing...........

very strange logic. i keep my vet, getting it to HQ without retreat, and what i get as a reward for my mad skillz? +50% reinf cost

Yeah that doesn't really make any sense. To reward micro it would have to be the other way around.

reinforcing is not the achievement, not needing reinforcing is.

retreat & reinforcing only leads to inf blobbing. if you screwed up by running your blob into a hmg or puma you need to be punished.

so i took retreat out and made reinforcing only usefull for vetted or muni based units. i guess ill change the description later.

Retreating and falling back are age old conditions tied to war, how could you ever think that removing it was a good idea?

T17's cap sectors like infantry.  Couldn't see this in the changes so i'm assuming it's a bug.

all doctrines are pretty much vcoh still, so since light vehicles can cap in vcoh they can here too. might be kinda OP on the t17 though, i think il make it 9 pop instead of 8.

You can still retreat by selecting your unit and then clicking away from the battle, units running at twice the speed while dodging everything that comes at them is not an age old condition tied to war.

when your men are under the pinned condition they will not move when you select the unit and click away from the battle. do you even play the game? or just troll?

Maybe that's because getting up and running in the open while a machinegun is firing at you is also not an age old condition tied to war.

Still don't understand the whole point of preserving units if every unit you retreat just dies in the end.

The point is retaining vet, which is useless if you lose 2/3 just to gain vet

basically retreating is just bad for the game. if you screw up by running into a hmg has artekas suggested your soldiers will die. thats what happens if you screw up. if retreat is kept in that doesnt happen. your units live.

I decided to keep retreating in but in a different form as it is now. retreating now adds an extra required level of skill. retreat at the right point and gain a command point advantage to your opponent. this also increases the total amount of CPs players get, which is needed because of all the extra CP costing stuff (offmaps, doctrine units, recourse advantages, doctrines)

How much are the vet bonuses? Enough to make a difference between saving one squad or just buying a brand new one?
