alright even if it configured like that in the stats it's still stronger than other other vehicles tell me what you want.

Anyway due to such a reaction I hearby cease any support of this mod and it's ignorant stuff.

The T17 is by far the best armored car in the game, perhaps with the exception of the Stag.
Despite it's lower long-range accuracy, the T17 deals 2-3x the damage per shot, making it still deadlier than any other AC in the game (even at max range). It also has 50% more moving accuracy and great dodge modifiers, making it awesome while moving.
Whether or not it's OP is up for debate, but don't pretend that it's not the best light vehicle out there

I never said anything about whether or not it was the best, I was simply disproving the arguments that 23down provided for it being overpowered. It is none of what he stated.

No, no.. im making a point. Look more closely please. 95% of the reasons I see to remove the T17 is irrational conjecture from people who dont know how to read RGDs. If we are going to base the removal of a unit from subjective in game experiences, then you'd better be prepared to defend every unit on that basis, from everyone else's subjective viewpoint.

Anyway like you I think no unit should be deleted. However I completey disagree with your opinion regarding the T17. Right now it is heavily overpowered.

It is so fast you can't catch up with it. It's weapon range is also very long. Not to the mention the precise accuracy of that vehicle.

I've played many games now (over 200) and since the latest doctrine patch it seems there are many allied players (every day more of them) going for that kind of spam. While I'm sure you guys had the best intentions to reduce the spam by the germans with that it just had the opposide effect.

We're now seeing a lot of T17 spam combined with M8s they are nearly unstoppable. Even for the best players out there. German infantry doesn't stand a chance anymore even marders (unless you have like 4 of them parked behind each other what doesn't happens often) are chanceless against those vehicles.

We were just having a game 3 vs 3 which we were clearly winning until just 4 of those units arrived at the field. They are so fast and can be nearly everywhere at the same time that they wiped us out really quick & step by step.

My recommendations therefore would be:

-Reduce the speed & rotation speed of that vehicle (just a little)
-A bit less accuracy
-maybe a little less armor for that vehicle (at some points it's actually stronger armored than tanks)


1vs1 scenario: 1 pak, or marder isn't even able to destroy just 1 of those vehicles because it's so fast it will simply flank you. and it's also unrealistic that this light vehicle can take like 3 up to 4 direct pak before it dies while the allied tanks take the same amount of damage before they die. And those are beeing classed as tanks not light vehicles.




Alternatively let it like it is right now but make it so that it can't do that much damage to vehicles and tanks (so it will remain as inf killer to keep german spam low.)
Or
Remove the repair function for that vehicle.

At the present moment this vehicle is good against anything axis have.

To come to an end I must also say I'm very disappointed that in a balance forum your balance forum I get things to read like (learn to play, oh another smurf) and other crap like that. Balance discussions should always be taken seriously otherwise there is no point in having such discussions.  Wink

1 last point: You should maybe some day in the future consider to scrap all the balance like it is right now and start a new. So that all factions are more or less equally strong and weak.
I've played some other mods lately and those did that very well. All infs were basically vulnerable to anything as long as they were not in buildings or behind any other defences. Tanks of all kinds were able to take 2 or 3 hits at max.

Something like that makes it much more unique and also a bit more tactical. Foolish unit spam and rushes would cease to exist.  Smiley

The reason why I'm stopping to play & support EIR is not because I'm giving up but because I'm sick of spammer games in every 2nd game ruining the fun factor.


As for you smokaz. You call yourself an admin insulting me & others as garbage? What would be your mod without us the fans?

Idk why you assume Smokaz is a admin. If someone's got mod powers on these fourms, they got a badge for it.

Boy how I wish I could just wave a wand and all the pool/pricing fixes we got coming would just go into place now, but everything is going to be thrown on it's head with the warmap, so there's no point in addressing spam problems right now cause the new framework isnt in place.

Your hostile attitude won't be missed, brah. You think that spammers ruin the game but you've done nothing to prove there's actually a balance issue, the second someone spoke out against you you proclaimed that you were done with the mod. That's just lulz-worthy.

T17 imo is not needed and brakes balance in gameplay, allies got plenty of other AI weapons. It's one of those weird ToV wtf units.
As an american player i can effectively spam them and practicaly lock down axis inf/paks/hts.

All i have to say is this...

1/3rd of your argument is wrong.  EIR has given HTs Puma armor.. Which T-17s can not pentrate even from the rear...  So HTS own T-17s, Only the Vampire, 50 mm, and LTHT are able to be penetrated by the T-17... 

Also it does not negate infantry, in fact i find that the T-17 is not worth it at all anymore, Try playing with it. 

T-17, Can not Penetrate a Puma... yet is 9 pop.. 1 more than a Stug, also costs more MP and FU than any light armor vehicle in game, at 125 Fuel. 

The T-17 is fine, they have nerfed it into oblivion, Priced it out of use, and the only thing it has going for it is that it has Buffs in the armor doctrine... The only doctrine that can us it. 

Rangers, Falls, 4man KCH, Croc Churchill, KT, Tiger, all Doc specific units, All have better than average abilities... All cost more than their counterparts... Why???  Because its doc specific...
