We added support grenadiers as a basic pe suppression platform.

You may disagree with the decision to make the scout car mg doctrine specific but I'd like to point out that this is not the way to go about arguing that decision.

It's not worth it for capping, it wasn't before, and it isn't now.

I mean, god forbid you go for one extra pop and get a squad of grens!

I've won games just spamming SCs to cap the whole map, good luck catching them with vehicles or killing them with non AT infantry, it's the best unit to cap in the whole game for its pop/mobility/armor in the game.

So you've won games with a gimmick spam? That doesn't really prove their effectiveness in normal situations. Besides, going chasing after the scout cars is a terrible decision, even if it is your first thought. The real answer is simply to spread infantry along all of the territories on the frontline and capture it back. Then they are cut off behind your lines and can't take a sector back to open up for a capping spree.

99% of the infantry people use takes 5 pop, SCs 3 pop, do the math, and you can beat back ununpgraded infantry, mkay.

It proves they aren't worthless to cap like AmPm said, if they would be so worthless something like that wouldn't work.

Huh, and that's the reason why you use several SCs, for each infantry squad they have you can have almost 2 SCs, one to hold the sector you just captured and another to keep capping.

What if people want to use it as an actual unit instead of having 5+ scout cars on the field at once for the purpose of capping? Gimmick spam effectiveness shouldn't determine that something is not underpowered.

They're still usefull to charge ATGs head on, they're better than ACs to decrew them since ACs usually hit the gun instead of the crew, even in small numbers you can still use them to harass territory, block tanks from cricling your lovely marder/50mmht, etc, and all that for just a bit more than a jeep/bike.

Alright, I just wanted you to make an argument other than "I can spam it so it's good!" Smiley. If somebody else wants to argue about scout cars I'll let them do it, but I don't think there's a big issue with them.

Neither do I, it consumes a lot of your micro, but it pays back most of the time.

And what happens now that AT Infantry are common as hair on a dog?

They have phase armor and awesome received accuracy bonuses while moving, dance around in the sector while you cap with another SC?

I understand your point regarding the support grens. But if i may suggest that you look into them a bit when possible ? Cause they do work as support team, but they can't kill anything (also they are very fragile). Maybe a tweak here ?

As for the Scout car without the mg, still imho it's a unit that (except for SE that has the mg upgrade) is of no use anymore.

-Falls sprint doesn't work
-Falls mine upgrade isn't working (doesn't even show ingame)
