Spinn is right Although it does pisses me off that my 50mm bounced 5 times in a row from long range, i was doing some awesome micro and sacrifice some Los Pgrens but the pershings like  in my face. Noob mans tank more like. |

Well tbh the lack of a cloak penetration buff or AP rounds is kinda telling with PE AT. Its the only thing that perhaps makes it hard. Because the pershing itself isn't that great, it's got arguably shitty armor against everything wehr and it has to stand still to be accurate etc, plus it has like 900 hp?

Actually Hetzer has the second best armour in the game, it's very close to the Jagdpanther's armour in effectiveness.

Pershings get about 80% chance to penetrate. It means that a Pershing that stays in range will win hands down tbh. At least from experience. |

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.

Sherman 76mm goes from 36% chance to penetrate to 47% chance.
M10 76mm goes from 40% chance to penetrate to 53% chance.
Pershing 90mm goes from 65% chance to penetrate to 88% chance.

The Pershing gets the VCoH HVAP. Whenever I used it it penetrated anything short of a KT or Jagd 100% every single time.

Your observations are a bit off then, as the KT has the same armour as a Tiger and will be penetrated 100% of the time, or 98% at long range. The Panther has better armour than the Tiger and will only be penetrated 88% of the time, or 79% at long range. And yes, I am talking about vCoH HVAP.
Strangely the HVAP just says "fuck you" to Hetzer armour, which is normally very close to Jagdpanther armour.

Isn't KT Armour Tiger armor with an inherent 0.8 Received Penetration? Which would make it not the same

Yeah it is, I forgot about that. My bad. With that factored in it's basically equal to Panther armour against Pershing HVAP.

Basically, HVAP makes the Pershing competent against Heavy Armour.
As you'd expect for a T4 that only buffs your anti armour specifically.

I just hope the APCR this time around isn't as pathetic, armour doctrine (infantry too) has a significantly better anti-tank t4 than the old tankhunters did. Which is silly.

If a pershing manages to stay in range of a panther it will win hands down anyways....due to the panther often failing to penetrate....panther can only beat a pershing if it manages to kite it. |

The Panther actually has a rather good chance to penetrate the Pershing. It's about this point that somebody like Mysthalin appears out of nowhere with a plate-ful of RGD's and declares somebody the winner or everybody the loser. Something to that degree. |
