Bobs doctrines are genius! Though needed work, just reading the current threads It looks like everyone is actually happy with them now. I feel like really only armour and RCA need to be tweeked, and maybe blitz as the old doctrines had T4 that made a particular unit amazing, and apart from armor, RCA and blitz most of the doctrines effect more than one unit and male your entire company useful. These three without knowledge do target primary units armor being Pershing( mainly HE round but also HVAP), blitz(in BH targeting grens and stormies making them very strong) and RCA (dual T3 supports cromwell spam so well!) j
Though needed to say so do most of the other doctrines but not as effectively.

To end can I ask, are people unhappy with these doctrines?

It has been said many times.

There is nothing wrong with current doctrines. period.


Most of the abilities (even the T4) give small effects, and does not feel like a 't4' for example. They seem to be lacking this 'i have full lvl 9 company, where are my orbital cannons? over my lvl 1 company'.

Some would say it is to give a chance for lvl 1 companies - imo a lvl 9 company should be better than the new one. It would not promote smurfing as on your maxed out company you would have things which are not available for your lvl 1 smurf.

imo 1 t4 should be pretty powerfull

t3 should be less powerfull but also good ( 2  t3s should be on par with 1 t4 )

t1s are ok generaly.

I'm not saying that a doctrine rework is needed , just look at the numbers of what they provide

for example  scorched earths inf t4  gives separate bonuses for  assault grenadiers (+25% acc)  (g43 buff)   (free leader rifle for pgrens) .

It's not a realy big change from NOT having that t4 because in-game effect does not have a really big impact.

T4 should make people drool and want them to say  I WANT THAT !!



example of a tier that his big impact : offmaps , offmaps have direct impact in-game .  A properly placed offmap can kill a number of support weapons or inf squads if someone does not pay attention.

Are you telling me that HE rounds that can gib Inf squad in 1 shot aint powerful Or The Ability To penetrait every Front enemy armor of the Axis with HVAP rounds aint powerfull enough?

Personally, i can't really see anything wrong with the current doctrines. Maybe something done so that it feels, more unique? Original? i know those aren't the right words just somethign to make it feel LEVEL 9 BITCH without being OP

Thats the problem though. Oldlevel 9's felt powerfull because they were. (Tank Reapers at +75% to everything!) Even some of the old stuff that was on the weak end back then is too powerfull now(Dual Rocket Racks for Calliope)


Some tier 4's need work(chemical fire stands out alot for me) and we will get around to addressing them. But I think most would agree we'd like all doctrine in place and then tweak from there

I'll voice my opinion here as I have done with my post in the two things about the mod.

I'd much prefer to see subtlety employed in the doctrines with what they do for a company, which gear towards interesting play styles rather than abilities that will make a specific unit perform miracles.

Commandos doctrine gearing it for proper hit and run tactics for example. Though that might be veering into my expectations of what I'd like to see in Commandos - But my point of subtlety over drama remains with it.
