"The Plan" - continuing Scenario...
«

K then guys i particularly liked Fraggerz Scenarios and ime thinking of setting soemthing similar up but with each battle/scenario affecting the next;
- possibly centered around market garden
- with players taking part in scenarios, each scenario winning their faction/side more units a specialised unit or advantages resource wise as well as there being disadvantages for the losing faction
- culminating in an epic Hoedown... I mean showdown
- so say commandos/airborn dropping in to sabatage german railroads bringing heavy armour or inf reinforcements in germans defend an oj, allies have to attack it if allies succede germans in the next battle get less armour, germans win and defend more armour is available that sorta thing.
^^ It'll take me a wee bit to set up scenarios and work up the win advantages and the lsoe advantages so as to ensure GG's are had, but I'd like to know if theres any interest in this sorta thing? and if anyone would like to help
- When in doubt take a cup of tea and it will all be good! ^^

I would be very interested in seeing you create these scenarios.
If you do, please document everything as much as you can (or want to). We may be able to use this type of information in future warmap work.

Matter of fact, contact me after your game and we can go through some preliminary ideas right now if you want.

Market garden eh...
Scenario one: XXX core armored spearhead attempts to breakthrough German lines. Allied attack.
Allies: 2 British and 1 American with mechanized/tank centered companies. I'm talking just about every call in being either tanks, LVs, or Infantry in a halftrack. Artillery? Yes. And it can only be used in the first 10 minutes of battle.
Axis: 2 Defensive Wehrmacht companies and a Luftwaffe PE with very few tanks. Probably only stugs. Mostly man packed AT and ATGs for Anti-tank.
Scenario two: Allied airborne and commando elements attempt to establish a foothold. Meeting engagement.
Allies: 2 American and 1 British with all airborne and glider dropped companies. Give them an objective (or objectives) to hold onto for 10 minutes. They'll have to be swift so as to keep the Germans from bringing their full power up.
Axis: 2 PE and 1 Wehrmacht with mess of random shit including heavier armor (Tigers or KTs!!?11!???1!?) must pull themselves together and hold onto (or retake) the objective. I'm thinking a lot of volks mixed with some elite units like KCH or Stormtroopers and various assorted support weapons and tanks.
A bridge map would be awesome (and accurate to the history), but I don't think one exists in EIR that would fit. Could always make it an industrial or urban map instead. Also, I think it'd be neat to only tell the Germans what the objective is once the battle has started. An "Oh snap, THAT'S what they're going for!" moment.
Scenario three: Finally, with a grim realization on the scale of what is happening, the Axis organize a counter attack to blunt the allied offensive. Axis attack.
Allies: 2 American and 1 British player must hold back the German tide lest all be lost.
Axis: Complete and total slaughter of all allied troops can be the only acceptable outcome. They will attack without mercy or compassion with a reckless disregard for property or safety. Everything will burn or bleed and nothing will be moving by the time the day is done. "Scorch them and burn them and watch them die"
Scenario 3 is where the outcomes of the last battles comes into play (Since the first 2 scenarios are happening at about the same time I don't think they could affect each other in any significant way). If the Allies win the first scenario, they will have an abundance of armor with which to defend with and the axis will have lost the use of their mighty heavy ATGs including Pak 40s or 88s. If the allies were defeated, then they will have few tanks left with which to use. If the allies won scenario two, then the bridges were held and they will have more time to set up a defense. That also means allied on-map artillery will have a slightly larger role since they would have been able to move up to the battlefield unencumbered by blown bridges or German ambushes. Also, no German heavies will be present (jagd, kt, tiger). If the allies lost, then they will have less time to set up a defense and less use of artillery. Probably only a few off-maps. Also... Heavies to wreck their shit.
There's my contribution. Take it or leave it.

^^ malgaloth your a champ allot of that sorta thing was already on my notepad of ideas was definatly wanting a defensive line for germans with them having allitle extra time to set up shop but not allowed to go past x on a map and then the allied onslaught to begin
simmilar to the PE campain on market garden defending the town while the troops retreated threw it. but an epic defensive battle will be a feature ime wanting both sides to experiance in this campain and a huge push for both sides ofc, thus allowing the defensive player and the armour player their moment of glorey
plus come on who wouldnt liek to see flak 88's mg bunkers barbed wire tank traps, murder holes etc, countered by Hobarts funnies and an allied onslaught

When he doesnt rage, Mal types good shite, I must say. The Armor should be mostly CW IMO, as the few units of American armor in OMG (lolnotthemodlol) didnt see much fighting. The British armo(u)r did, and in instances such as the now-famous scenes from the HBO Band of Brothers series, got it's ass handed to it because in mute terms, the Brits and Ami paratroops had never trained together and didn't cooperate in combat--plus they disliked eachother anyways (sorry, feel like ranting history shite.)
Amis would probably be totting ABs and a few shermans. Giving the brit players Sherman Vs (unless theyre some ub3r shite) might work since the brits used mostly those in holland.

I see it like this (which you have an awesome idea btw)
Scenario 1: Axis defending as said, a railroad FU line. Axis will have no FU advantage, allies since it would be armored coming in would have say 1 fu advantage.
Scenario 2 A: Allies won the last engagement, they now have a MP advantage, axis will have a mu advantage to help counter attack.
Scenario 2 B: Axis won last engagement, Axis will now have a FU advantage and allies will lose their FU advantage. ME or R+ game
Scenario 3 A1: Allies won Scenario 2 A, Allies will all together have an MP, MU, FU advantage. Axis will have no FU advantage, but a MP and MU.
Scenario 3 A2: Axis won Scenario 2 A, blah blah
Scenario 3 B1: Axis won 2 B, blah blah
Scenario 3 B2: Allies won 2 B, blah blah
As you can see I got a bit bored, but that about sums it up. Altogether you'd get 3 games out of that.

We need a Scenario that involves Conquering of Kreta.
In short.
3v3 around PURE infantry and all British. British infantry vs Axis Failschrimjägers
British may have Bren MMGs and such but no assault infantry or tanks :<
