Commando piats are not up for a valid discussion as in order to get them, you have to make the following choices:
Pick commando doctrine (1 of 3 british docs)
Use one T1 to unlock Commandoes
Use second T1 to unlock Piat purchase upgrade for commandoes
Pay MU (mutually exclusive with stens) to purchase the piats
Commando unit takes up 9 pool from your infantry pool, whileas sappers (a general british engineer unit, thus not basic infantry) take up 6 pool, being double that of basic infantry.
They easily get swarmed by infantry, but you can't just rush say a single flame pio against a 6 man squad with 4 rifles. Assault infantry have no problem crushing piats.

as axis i laugh at piats. only time they hit me is when i make a mistake in micro by getting too close, other wise i kite 'em to death and just send in my infantry.
also piats get a cooldown decrease when you're at short range, so if ur getting raped by piats, you're too close, while if they engage at long range they get a cooldown increase. Heck, i stopped using my mando coy cuz i got suck of piats missing.
Piat acc vs infantry was lowered in a previous patch to i think 15% acc and they have a lower splash damage so if it hits it's just random as it is a ballistic weapon so sometimes infantry will walk right into a piat barrage.
the thing is, sapper piats totally lose any type of AI capability when you upgrade 'em they have 2 piats and 2 lee enfields, which just dont do enough.
they also die quite easily to well enough, and are most effective in groups of 2 or more. Heck, only time i use piats is with mandos, none of my other brit coys have piats, they're just crap to me. i use sappers as engineers tbh and recrewers.
I have thought about this all day and read thru all 5 pages and my final conclusion is thus. Piat sappers dont need the nerf, if they were being abused i'd say yes but they aren't and if nug is getting raped by them, i feel he needs to consider if someone has a doctrinal buff (like the top RCA t4)
