It only costs 10 fuel and manpower more and the upgrades makes it a lot better, to balance it puma upgun should get heavy mine drop and a machine gunner.

it's not cheaper! the difference is microscopical! considering the fact that puma upgun cannot kill m8 greyhound (or anything else for that matter) it would be fair if the puma had upgrades too.

Or, take advantage of the fact they are dirt cheap and try using multiple upgunned Puma's and watch what happens.

Except.. the M8 and the puma have the exact same chance to kill each other... And the stock puma can deal a lot more damage to various infantry than the stock M8 can.
Oh, and it's far more reliable versus tanks than the M8 is.

They are not dirt cheap, two upgun pumas is the same price as: one ostwind and volksgrenadier or
one flak88

three upgun pumas is the price as: one sherman and two riflemen or two nebelwerfers

and all of those perform better at AI and AT roles.

This is about the upgun. Plus why are you in this discussion anyways? Sometimes your entire strategy is to spam only m8s. Of course you don't want pumas to be useful, there would be an actual counter to m8s other than expensive fausts & pzshrecks.

I.. know? The upgun puma is amazing vs brittish infantry in particular. Better than the (stock) m8 is vs grens and panzergrens, anyway.

M8s are too pool intensive and far too specialised for me to spam nothing but them. And even then - a properly supported pak is all it takes to negate M8s. They're far too unreliable for my wants and needs.

I think I've used more upgun pumas in my total EiRR lifetime than I have M8s.

When I play allies I use m8s, stags and stuarts. They are rather versatile and not too expensive and will kill infantry and vehicles with ease.

Pumas on the other hand...yeah they are pretty much one-trick ponies at best. Often they are just nigh useless hunks of metal.
