Hi there,

I've played a few 3v3s and 4v4s and noticed something what never happend before: my screen lags when scrolling over the middle of the map; but it still runs smoothly in the edges...
I haven't had this issue a week ago, but now I freak out everytime I get it.

My drivers are all updated and my system ran the game on ULTRA. Even with the settings set to low it lags.

Did anyone else had this strange issue?

PS. Already tried to ask the Relic guys, but they won't respond...

Thanks in advance,
-Rahx

Very interesting, Something smiler is that in FPS games you look down at effects you get lower FPS, but stare at the sky where nothing is happening you are perfect.

But this seems different because its a RTS so your always looking at the same amount of shit basically, so I don't really understand.

I fixed it following these steps:

- I modified my NVIDIA settings; forced off: Anisotropic filtering, Triple buffering and Vertical sync, so they will not be in contradiction with the in game-settings...

-Windows 7 (x64) has also two different kind of Program Files: Program Files and Program Files (x86).
Program Files is in fact made for 64bit supported systems..
Nevertheless, I'm using 4GB RAM and since 32bit system only reads ~3GB, therefore I choose to reinstall Company of Heroes in the Program Files directory because the game is actually nowadays also supported by 64bit systems, so it should run more flexible in the '64bit directory'...

-I'm not able to use 'Affinity' to change the amount of CPUs working on process, but it could also fix the problem for Quad Core users. Company of Heroes doesn't need all the CPUs running at the same time and therefore 2 CPUs can be left open.

-And for those who had their game running fine previously, but is in trouble with the same kind of issue with Vista or Windows 7 try: Right mouse click on icon, Properties, Compatibility, Compatibility mode and then choose the Operating System that ran the game perfectly in the past.

The last one also fixed the lag spikes in Dawn of War 2 for me, that I never noticed on Windows XP before.

Hope that this is profitable for some chaps.
