Well i`ve been having strange lag issues lately and a lot of player are angry on me.

I have port forwarded all the ports and i added this to CoH vanillas shortcut "C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\RelicCOH.exe" -port 6113
which seemed to fix the nat errors and lag issue in vanilla.

But EIR still seems to lag. I dont know the reason.

Is it fps lag or network lag?

Network lag is where something is going on with your connection to the internet and your slowing down.

FPS lag is where your computer cant handle the task it is doing and is slowing itself down to try and cope with the load.

The only way to find out is by lowering your ingame settings and seeing if that cures your lag - Although with experience you can see whether something is FPS or Network based lag.

My network is ok i can play other games online and surf in internet and CoH is on the lowest graphics and should be more than able to run the game.

I think theres a problem with coh connecting to internet, but as i said Vanilla Coh is workin fine after i added  "-port 6113" to the shortcuts target.

So you can run replays without lagging? You play vCOH fine without problems?
And your largest issue is this lag?

It has to be noted that EIR is heavier on CPU performance than vCOH, due to the SCAR scripts being run in the background requiring more computing power.

Ugh hell, you may have to do what I do every game...

Essentially, what I have to do, is once I've joined a room in EiRR, launched it, got to the relic login screen... I close down the game, and relaunch the game with a custom CoH shortcut which goes along the lines of:

"C:\Program Files\THQ\Company of Heroes\RelicCOH.exe" -mod EuropeInRuins -port 6113

Then I can join games without issue, and zip in the way of lag. Unless I'm getting natural lag of course, but then again, everybody gets that.

Try doing that for a game and see if it helps.

Remember, it is *Vital* that you click launch in the EiRR launcher once everybody has readied up in your room and your good to go - This is because the launcher downloads the battle file for your room. Without this, you get a desync/SCAR error.

In a nutshell, join a room and load up EiRR normally, close game once at relic login screen, then load with custom shortcut and join the other players as you would normally.

It's a pain in the arse, but until EiRRMod puts that command line function into the launcher, I work with what I've got. >.<
