Buffs do not actually apply in any way, shape, or form, even though the insignia is shown.
Tested with vanilla and with mid bot T3s.

I tried it with supervision, with aura, and with both. It doesn't work in any of those instances. |

So basically the Officer is only useful for its Mortar barrage, Sniper hunting and being a quite-visible-bullet-magnet-that-most-people-feel-they-need-to-kill-for-some-reason.

There should be someone in dev team who after patch tests abilities like that if they work, because later on the thing does not work and it gets discovered by someone after 7 months, most people have no idea if this works or not because the 'buff' is active but it's not  |

The officer aura does not effect anything but infantry as far as I'm aware. Even if you have a support weapon in the aura- it does only effect the crew- not the weapon itself. :p

well, the dev team could easily ask our most reliable members of the community to form a bug testing group. would make things found much more easy. they would get early access to new features, then could test them or dedicate a few games after release to make sure things work as intended, and double check rgd.

They don't have time for that. The players are the bugtesters. I've had great success with my officers, maybe because I was under the illusion that they did more damage with officer and thus used them more effectively. |
