The problem was that these tester accounts were used in real games and would fuck with people a lot.
Personally i think its a good idea, and if someone is abusing the account, they get banned for a week.

Because bugs can only happen within the singular faction, and no US units interact with CW units, or WM units with PE ones?
You guys attempt to make it sound like bug testing is easy and straightforward. It's not. The one problem with every single fucking one of your arguments is that you assume that you already know what bug you're looking for when testing them. At which point.. you already know the bug so just fix it.
Test accounts were awesome, and were an invaluable tool in helping us find bugs and other assorted retardation. If you want to search for reasons why balance hasn't been advancing as fast over the past year or such - look no further than the removal of test accounts.

For instance, make account "Devtest1" through 10, make them seperate from the players normal accounts and shared between the dev team. Give them 5000 pp or done such. Easy to use for testing, obvious and not abusable.

When you are testing, does officer supervision work, im pretty sure a 1v1 test can prove it.
In fact I've tested things with people before. 1v1 is fine for testing.
but of course balance testing you need 2v2 or more. i dont think DEV testing should be done. I think instead as said we get a balance team, make about 20 test accounts. test accounts can only be used with other test accounts.
if test account is used in anything but, ban them as said.

It's official, you are a retard.
There are 10 people on the Dev team. All of them in different time zones. We can't even organize a dev meeting unless half the team stays up till 2:00 in the morning and the other half are on a different day.....lol. You really think we can get together and play some test games on a regular bases?
You make it sound like there's a bunch of us siting in an office just ready to start testing shit. I mean, just today we were all standing around the water cooler waiting for ampm to come up with another brilliant way to run our mod better.
Even if we mixed in with the community for testing, there would always be one guy who refused to start the game because of the test account.
Good news is, the mod is still in Beta, so get used to changes and bugs....lol

Yea, cause you never have 2 people on the dev or balance team on right? One would think, that yoy being older you would realize that it doesn't have to be a constant thing, that maybe, when you want you test something 2 people if the what, 12 dev team/balance team guys could say "hey, leta test this, I played earlier and it didn't seen to work". I can understand that would be hard.
Note that this doesn't mean you can't play against other people, but they would know it's a dev account. Novel idea huh? Almost like reading a whole post.

As for mixing, ASK ON VENT, most people won't care as long as you don't give yourself 3 KTs or such. People got upset because nobody asked first.
