As some of you might know, I'd decided to start playing again due to some recent nagging from Enkk and holiday boredom, and i'd played a couple of games with a Blitz company which was decent to say the least.. The whole doctrine was completely lackluster, but then again, every doctrine seems that way since the last time I played this mod.

Now I come back and I'd just played my first game as Brits to discover that axis now have homing missiles and moving marders? What's going on? Is there any balance team at all and if so, do they know anything about good balance? If it's any consolation, I was playing against arslanahmet and HerrKlaus.. About 15 minutes in after they completely pushed us back to spawn, they had the balls to say "gg" prematurely. If these guys are good players, then I guess I might have just been on the receiving end of a stomp. It was completely disheartening to play in a game such as this, I don't often get frustrated, but I can imagine a lot of newer players at lower skill levels would play a few games like this and would be uninstalling the mod pretty quickly.

On top of this, I've observed my brother playing commandos recently and the CCT works as basically a whole map maphack/decloak? Don't kid yourselves, if you want to make the doctrines more powerful, you'd be best off doing it directly through damage and accuracy than map hack bullshit. At least you can counter damage and accuracy buffs. Maphacks are just stupid.

Do you guys have anything in place for newer players? This mod used to be awesome, don't know what's going on now..

For once, spinn72 and not Enkk Wink

dunno about ars dude, didnt play with him before...but I did with you,and you are better player than me,so I wasnt expecting to stomp you rly. I usually dislike to play vs noobs, and prefere to go against good players if  I can.

LOL,good thing you didnt see moving marders whith full speed, now they are lot slower,so it isnt such a big deal...and ars said to you,he didnt have them, his marder was bugged.

Homming missle, you can hear it,and just start moving,it will miss,or do little dmg. It's rly best used on repairing tanks to kill them while low on health.

and  I said gg,cuz from what I saw, there wasnt too much you could do to us at that point of game anymore...

Blitz is actually more than decent.

So he just happened to have a moving APCR round marder?
How often does that occur.

I'm not angry because of the stomp, it was my fault for blindly picking 5 95mm cromwells and thinking they were actually good.

It's just really sad to watch a game being won not due to skill or being outplayed, but rather by someone clicking a few buttons and having games dictated by offmap abilities.

On that note, who was stupid enough to think that every doctrine needed 3 offmaps?

CCT reveal should not be massive - if its half/most of map - its incorrectly set view distance and you should post as a bug.

That's like offering Beer to fuck the fat chick. It will work for a while, but it's not gonna last. Not only that, but there is zero motivation for the Fat chick to loose weight.

Moving APCR marders? waaat?

Theres a t4 that allows marders a passive lockdown. With the minus they have no recieved accuracy bonuses. I still say that APCR marders are 2x better.

The homing missiles is a vet hunters wet dream. Hit a allied vetted allied tank down to half health and trololol as you just send an un-avoidable missile to finish the job. Ive had some good laughs at vet 3 m18s when i just charged unvetted 50mm to get it half health then just offmap it teeheeee

Probably the bug where Marders continue to move after being locked down.

moving lockdown marders is a bug that can even happen in vcoh
its not a positive bug because the owner of the marder loose completely control over it and it drives just into death
it rarely happens but it happens from time to time

the passive lockdown is a different thing and its own T4 and can't be selected with an other T3 or T4

the enigma CCTs are a bit ridicules but i personally would not take that doctrine line
anyways i loved the maphack when playing with elitegren because he was one of first using this maphack doctrine build

don't know if that would be a worthy doctrine without the maphack

and if i understand you right your not enkk but his rusty brother and you both use same account, so i would suggest to you to take a different name in EIR launcher because everyone thinks its enkk

The CCT lockdown is the same as the vampire. The problem is that the CCT is alot more survivable

Correct BigDick.

well, tbh, he's using my name, so he'll change at some point. Or he won't have to if I can't see this being worth my time.

Spin tbh, yeah axis gets  alot of "new toy" type bullshit--ever mod out there gives the axis the new shite, allies get new versions of riflemen, engineers, or--ooooooh, shermans (zomg I got an M4A3E8 o.0 >.>). But we still get blobs of BARs and kinda imba Jumbos, so it all evens out in the end  Cool

Things like enigma decoded are a bug and will get fixed.

But we brought all these things we dont like upon ourselfves.

WE ARE NEVER satified with anything they give us. all these trolls show and shun the hard work of many people including leophone and eirrmod. everything they put out, We cry about it. So they constantly change it, which is why the doctrines have been changed soo many times to count. No one is every satisfied.

Getting trolled by things you don't expect will happen when you haven't played a game in a long time. Especially when it's a game like EiR that changes and adds new things so much. Once you get accustomed to the changes you get used to countering them just like with any other strategy/unit/ability you've seen before.

As for the homing missiles... I played a 4v4 not to long ago as allies where 2 of us had a pershing start. Both pershings got jewed by those little shits before they had a chance to really do anything significant, but we still managed to win despite a that nasty (nasty nasty nasty) setback. I guess it's just a matter of coping and adapting.

I feel awkward giving you advice since you could probably stomp me without even having to try.

i thought i was confused because i played against your brother and thought it was you, and was expecting a much different game.

i agree the homing missiles are gay as fuck. i played a game or two where all the axis did was vet hunt my tanks with their missile shit. an already moving churchhill cannot avoid them btw  Tongue

but it was annoying, id bring out a tank, nothing, i bring out a vetted tank and people get homing missile happy.
