There was a patch that I'm currently downloading for TF2, and among the listed items it said Team Fortress 2 is now free to play.
Just thought I'd let you all know.

I bought Team Fortress 2 a couple years back, but all Valve decides to give players is a (admittedly cool) WW1 British Soldier hat? Players who owned the game should at least get something better, like increased drop rate for a week or so.

no i just found this when i was looking for some more info so i could find out who he was at the time.
still havent found anything of use exept he was in some sort of a band, maybe i would be able to find out some more if i were obbsessed with him but i aint.
i got bored while looking so no worrys for anyone.

For some reason I'm having terrible connectivity issues with TF2 Servers and on A.V.A aswell, maybe cause of all the extra people that are coming in because it's free?

Yes, that is exactly the reason why it's happening, these servers are being overloaded with the influx of new players. And also, F2P accounts are not missing much, whoopee, I get to use a borked trade system where everything worthwhile is incredibly overpriced, requiring a grind so gruelling even Blizzard devs would shed a tear at to gain enough "currency" (metal) to use.

I havent met a more whining full community. Constantly in games all you hear is " QQ F2P WHINNNNNNE WHINE WHINE WHINE " and " OMG HATS" wtf is this game. Its good apart from all the whining and tlk about hats from these players that forked out... ZOMG 30$. Told this guy in this server to shut the fuck up and that i didnt realise Tf2 players were such whiners. 7/8s of the server agreed lmao. so dey were f2p players.
