Its pretty fucking obvious if we cut our military spending in half we would still be in debt.

L2domath

And yeah, we waist military money because dumbfuckers aka Alah's followers dont give a shit about anything but themselves. They cuts eachothers heads off every day.

Again, it's such a minor portion of our spending that it benefits no one. It would destroy jobs, and cause unemployment.

Best way to do it, heavier regulation of social welfare benefits.

Maybe people will actually work if they actually have to do something to afford their TVs and liquor.

Military spending is a huge amount. And more importantly, UNLIKE social welfare it is money spent on a negative purpose.

lol, except the DoD spending is part of the spending on the GWoT.

That pie chart is off a bit =) GWoT includes the DoD spending buddy.

I believe the global war on terror part of the pie chart is aid that is sent to foreign militaries (for the war on terror) and thus not a part of the department of defense, but I obviously didn't make the chart.

It may not be in that chart, but as I said, DoD defense budget I am good with.

Foreign Aid can go to hell.

Welfare should require you to give something back to your community.

The defense budget is in the chart (judging from your reading skills, you went to a public school, didn't you?) and it comprises about 16% of the budget. Combined with the war on terror, the two make up about 25% of the budget, and if you add in homeland security, you get around 30% of the budget related to defense.

Those numbers are essentially the same as my chart.

So, what's your point?

It seems pretty obvious to me that the department of defense uses a lot of money. I believe you were trying to claim otherwise?

And if we did cut the military spending, by say, 20%, a very very large number that is actually unrealistic at the time being, how does that take us out of debt?

Simply put, it doesn't.

You hate America and you keep wanting to talk shit about America. Yeah, we are waisting all our shit, but you propose a very very meager measure, which in reality, doesn't work.

1. US doesn't need to get rid of it's entire debt. I never even implied that, ALL you need to do is CUT military spending so you STOP INCREASING and over time even decrease your debt. It'd be retarded to try and remove all your debt all at once.

2. I don't hate America at all, I am actually quite fond of the United States, and I have followed a lot of courses on it. I'm very interested in its foreign AND domestic policy. I probably know more about US politics than your average american. That being said, I do hate some things about the US, obviously. I hate the Tea Party, I hate how they hijacked the GOP and I hate how the American political polarisation that is happening today. I hate dumb politicians and people in the US as much as I hate them in my country. But does that mean I hate the united states? It doesn't.

By the way, you don't even need to cut spending, just get rid of the Bush tax cuts. (HUGE injustice there, the notion that it is somehow good for the economy is retarded)

You do realize that the rich already pay the most in taxes anyways. The only way you can get out of paying the tax is to own a bunch of real estate and even then you will have to pay it at some point in time. Are military is only 3-4% of our budget. Don't be mad bro because our army makes yours look like a bunch of school girls on their menstral cycle. Social programs take up the majority of our spending, which is retarded. It's retarded because A: people should provide for them selves. B: The government fails at everything it trys to run example: US post office. C: The huge amounts of fraud you have because of the miss management. D: Entitlements, people getting something for nothing ( you should have to do some sort of community service in order to gain food stamps, and public housing. While in public housing you are NOT alound any amenities but the bare essentials to living). Basically if we look at Canada and what they did in 1995 which is cut their government in half, we would be in good shape. Further more I pay $106 dollars a month for health care how is this expensive?!?!?!?!? Why are we overhauling a system that is not broken?!!?!?!?!?!?!? Why are people retarded?!?!?!?!?!? Why is the sky blue?!?!?!?!?!?
