No, what isn't true is that human flesh instill some blood lust in predatory animals. Thats the mythology created over hundreds of years. Go find a the loch ness monster or a kraken in the ocean. It can be reasonable be broken down that recognizing a source of food when the typical diet is scare is cause enough for Animals to attack humans. The only recorded incidents are diseased animals or when food is scarce. Diseased Humans have the same effect on society too.


The same thing happens with Tigers(and any predatory cat) They recognize it as a source of food. The only reason why Tigers are so dangerous is because like all predatory cats they favour striking a victim from behind or above. Often times attacks by predatory cats leave the victim paralyzed and they eventually die or they suffocate quickly due to the nature of the attack.

You can walk around Western Canada no problem, not getting jumped by Wolves or bears or Cougars. but the moment feeding becomes scarce you should watch your back. Cougars have a standing jump distance of like 10-15m. I've seen Cougars leap a 4 lane highway in a single bound on a full sprint

It doesn't they turn to human prey when typical prey is scarce. Bears predominantly turn to scavenging because of the nature of the animal but they won't start coming down from the mountains to eat a small village.
