The premise of this thread is incredibly stupid and I think everyone agrees.

Who are you.. Obama?  The recession doesn't exist.. look over here its shiny..  Come on, you can't honestly believe this.

We should talk about politics instead.

What I don't honestly understand is how all of those right wing neo-liberal capitalists still dislike Obama. He is the perfect embodiment of their views, only cloaked in the rhetoric of the left. "Bush with a human face" (and somewhat less incompetent). Take joy in the fact that the rise of Obama has co-opted any potential for structural change in the current crisis and that in the next election you have nothing to fear as there is no possibility for another candidate from the "left."

While I agree that its not a challenge (for a moderately or competent player).

You are still able to glean effectiveness and time soaked which can then calculate a suitable reward.

I could perhaps see AI as a way to fill games, say, 2 good players and an AI vs 3 fair - moderate players.

My issue, is that anything that can be, will be abused. This has the potential to not only make it impossible to get games (you know how many people only play comp stomps in vCoH....) but to also allow people ways to freely vet their units and their account.

I think that variant game modes are far more important to long lasting interest in the mod.

Poor players are usually not bad at a game due to any naturally occuring reason. I'm NOWHERE near as fast as some people that will throw out 200+ CPM. But I do fine in EIR because it is mostly about planning and thinking ahead. Anyone can become a decent EIR player with the correct outlook and by actually TRYING to get better.

I agree aswell.

The AI type scenarios will be generated - not selectable, thus not 'abusable' in a constant sense.
The game itself might be piss easy.  It might give heaps of xp (which can be dulled down via xpmodifiers after game) etc etc

Or, having the ability to have a game while waiting.

As it will be a generated scenario - I can have it generate them when there is sterotypically lots more of one side online than another.

From what i know of coh coding. The ai calls out counters according to what you bring. Maybe what you can eirrmod, after the warmap. if youd like. Is create a differant kind of coh ai in the same sense of calling out couners in the form of a company. For example

10 minutes into the game, i have a bunch of armor, AI calls out anti tank to counter me, simple things like that.

Im not sure how your going to be able to run this to obey the 25 pop cap starting limit. Just an idea

I could quite easily make subroutines and track pop / units etc.

The issue is making it not cheat =)

Stomps are not fun nomatter how you sugarcoat  it, we should go with my old idea of making a team of players that have access to the smurf finder that would join anygame if they would find a noob in a bad scenerio, ofcourse this would not be foolproof but would help people to have fun in games even tough they would lose games but atleast they would get some good advise from people and have fun.

To you perhaps.  But many in the online world enjoy ruining the fun of others.  Many in this community already.  If it wasn't so, then there would be no problem.

There needs to be way to mitigate the poisoning to the new 'blood'.  It't not going to be one single option.  Its going to have to be a variety of different things to break these horrid gaming trend in EIR.  But if implemented properly, there will be more games to play that are challenging because your playing folks on equal footing.

Because I hate AI that cheats Wink

Id make it act on what its seen/knows about.

Everything ELSE I have no probs with making it cheat on (like MP/MU limits etc etc)
