it come down to this, airborne riflemen are not airborne. they are rifles that paradrop. regular rifles. no fire up, no ab armor. why am i going to bother taking the chance of dropping regular rifles that take up more pool cost and MP, when i can just use you know... regular rifles. of course the quick drop makes them more useful.

thats up to you, if you want to use rifles walking in then use this
if you want rifles being able to drop somewhere after some seconds then use ab-rifles

you got the choice

I would say that giving a weapon upgrade with abd increased fire rate to an would be ok, grease guns... Meh no, but a similar version to the g43 without the effective range would be ok, as imo the ab unit is supposed to work like an ambush and/Cqb suppport clearing unit.

BT does an amazing job. They're online EVERY DAY making our mod better. Dealing with often 4-5 topics at a time, which often includes 1-2 doctrines at once. You can imagine that'd be half an hour/an hour a day contemplating and posting. Don't go disrespecting them, it's a tough gig =p.

From what I gather some things just pass straight over their heads, I don't think they got to look at or evaluate any reward units etc etc. Ultimately as you can imagine, they have a LOT to work on. Priority lies with warmap, as EIRRmod has stated, warmap probably won't be seen until all doctrines are released. Plus answer this, what is the point in balancing doctrines when some are still incomplete? The second AB comes in, people will be like "omg my panthers suxxxx because they get penetrated by everything" compared to them being rape sauce atm. When all docs stay in, then they'd have time to re-evaluate all doctrines.

That being said, often when all docs come in, someone cracks a hissy fit then they'll all get removed and remade from scratch again Cheesy

I would also like to point out that while AB rifles are more Riflemen than they are AB, they are subject to absolutely all buffs that AB get in their doctrine, while riflemen are not.

So there is incentive to take them over normal Rifles and AB.

Then explain how the balance team gave the Airborne an LMG in the first place

AB LMG was a unilateral firesparks decision, but the BT voted to keep it (I think).
