i kinda agree with puddin, but i'd change that further so that weapon that are mainly used for AT  (atgs, tank destroyers) should target tanks first so all infantry priority 0 and vehicles meh 5/10 whatever. vice versa for AI specialistatinos (hmg, sniper)

but for things that can do both like tigers, shermans put it all at 0.

See the thing is, if you put priorities at 0 for everything then the tank will never fire on it's own.

This pretty much means you will never be able to micro and fight with your tanks at the same time.
If priorities are done correctly, then this would never be an issue, the problem is that some vehicles and tanks have share the same armor type and thus, share the same priorities.

A good example of this is the IST and the P4, they share the same armor type, but if your driving around in a pershing, you would always want to target the P4 first over the IST. If both a P4 and IST are sitting next to eachother, what gets shot at first is what is the closest immediate threat, which might not be the P4.

It's annoying but fixing it would require to us to make whole new armor types for vehicles with dual roles and that's not a high priority atm.

It's also probably the most time consuming process there can possibly be in terms of RGD's.

Wouldnt it be as simple as copying over the entire armor type then changing the name of that armor?

You dont have to make it from scratch.

You then have to enter that armour type into every single gun in the game.

well as soon as you have the armor made, then it's just copying and pasting. There are only a handful of units that need this done. We could get it out of the way in an hour or 2.

Why would that be stupid.

"Oh look Hans, a Firefly and a Command Tank!"

"Ach! Ve must fire at ze command tank, when it is dead ze enemy shall flee in disarray!"

20 seconds later the Firefly marks down another kill.

Yea, god forbid Allies have to play well and no rely on using the CCT to draw fire because of a broken mechanic.

i was totally going to say something about that! im not a programmer but i figure writing a script for that would be too difficult.

no I'm not.

we could also increase sniper priority so units always pick him over other infantry.
but again, that would be stupid too. please dont force me to explain that.

also the chance that players want to prioritize a cromwell above a sherman is just as big as the other way around.

It's Leophone, of course he did, because it runs contrary to his point of view. Besides which, he won't code anything he doesn't want anyway.

not surprising, but disappointing regardless.   If we gave CCT Stuart armor, that might help.
