it should never be trouble to get any assets from a mod, its simple, "hey we really like this unit you guys have, we want to use it in our mod, is there anything in our mod that you like and want to use?" wham bam done. if for some reason they say know, give them the reason why you want to use it "oh well it would really help this doctrine, blah blah, are you sure we cant negotiate?"

That's why project reality was able to have like 30 different armies, we would just trade assets with other mod teams.

But people that A) like running the same carbon copy gimmicks or B) nay-say everything as unneeded or that cant be added (Schmidt) will just shoot the idea down. Too much effort for them, is the response most often given. Take my PDF; great units, community expressed that it looked pretty neat, devs said "too much work, no". Yes ofc the warmup needs to be added, but its ?2 years coming. In the meantime plenty of new units/other crap has been added (afaik).

On topic, Im against it being deployable or being able to capture territory. Hold it, maybe, but only make it mobile if its a marder lockdown with a good long cooldown and a set amount of time before it can redeploy--that shit is heavy .

There's a difference between it being "too much work" (which nobody has ever said) and simply not having the time nor real motivation to do those things, when they haven't even got everything else finished yet.
