In this thread you will find information regarding the tournament! Our aim is to fight in the upcoming tournament - ""Scorched Earth - A massive clan knockout tournament for Red Orchestra 2 - Heroes of Stalingrad" Compete with 32 clans from the United States and Europe and become a Champion!" Prizes! Tripwire Interactive has made $12000 dollar available as prize for the Scorched Earth Tournament! Could not sign us up for the tournament today, because the registration was still closed! But they had some big news for tomorrow at least!
And yeah, we still need one leader for the EU team and one for the US team! Just a friendly reminder!

My schedule is somewhat flexible right now, but I do have periods where I am gone for days or even weeks on end. We will need some additional players for the US roster to fill out any absents.
I will happily assume the role of Leader for the US team. I don't think my skill or knowledge is an issue in that regard and I think the roster as it is would accept that fact.

Yeah, it would be great if more players would step up and join! Congrats to brn who is the leader for the US group and good luck to you!
Still missing one for the EU! If i wouldnt suck so much at leading I would be all over the spot!

I would, if I had the game Me and my brother used to be pretty big on the clan scene, I've led a few in my time. Dont know if anyone knows Wolfenstein, Enemy Territory, but I used to be a big player in that game, had and been a member of many clans and scrimteams, used to make my own servers  If you're still playing in a month or so when I might buy the actual game then hit me up if you ever need someone with experience. |

the leader should be someone who actually play this role often
and preferable someone with some kind of lvl progress
(definitely not me cos i never play as squad leader )

yeah exactly, why not? The task to coordinate and to arrange the team roles and strat is similar on battlefield as on pre-battle phase.

All I see a squad leader do ingame is take that role to get better weapon, and the rest can sometimes spawn on him.

Spawn on Squad leader is bugged it seems and if he is in a zone you can't spawn on him.
However in the tournament the mode will be Countdown and the Squad leader and Commander do get SMOKE and that is vital to winning that game mode. I have the special weapons and I still only ever use the G43 as my main weapon. I play mostly Commander/Squad Leader and the MG34 sometimes

ops, thought unknown said that he was in last thread! My fault, sorry! I dont think im fit to lead the team tbh. I only know the beta maps so far and my english is not the best either! But i will take the role if no one else wanna take it... |
