what were those badass commando knives they had in wwII used for stabbing between the ribs?
Pretty sure the Fairbairn Sykes Dagger was slim and strong enough to pull that off, and may be the one you're referring to.
Has it's infamy from SAS/LRDG usage.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.

At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

Brns knowledge seems complete but there are alot of flaws with it. The whole silencers arent silent part is 'true' but wrong, silencers with a sub sonic round is silent.

Ghurkas in ww1 would sneak across nomansland in the middle of the night and stab everyone they could find in the enemy trenches, then go back.
Most sides had trench raiders.

Yeah thats the Knife, they still use it today. It's designed specifically to fit between ribs.

Brns knowledge seems complete but there are alot of flaws with it. The whole silencers arent silent part is 'true' but wrong, silencers with a low velocity round is silent. To be honest i doubt almost everything brn says, as its all been in recent cracked articles with the exact same wording half the time.
First, no idea what cracked articles are.
Second, even with cold rounds Silencers still make noise. yes, it's much quieter then a normal round but even still Silencers/Suppressors are used to simply lower the decibel level to allow firing without ear defenders.
Technically a Silencer/Suppressor can be fitted to anything but with varying degrees of success. Having a gun that sounds like a loose fart would be nice but you'd be lucky to even draw blood with it

The fact is alot of your information is just talk.
No one ever said taking someone out quietly was easy. Only that its has been a method of warfare for years. You talk about sounds of struggle, and 'thuds' all of which are controllable sounds. Wrestling and other martial styles will teach you this. Controlling someone from behind is EASY VERY EASY. even a hardened professional caught off guard like this is fucked. Then you lower the body to the floor. Any noises that may be made generally are covered up by other forms of ambiance. In a city this may include cars, people, (not counting others nearby which may be talking) outside you got crickets, birds and animals which all make sounds and that boot and possible cry may be taken for an owl taking a mouse (which makes alot of noise) And soldiers may not recognize what they are hearing.
(ps choking someone out quietly isnt that hard)

Thuds and sounds happen, despite mitigation. The hard part that I've been trying to stress(by saying guns are better) is getting close to the target.
Night time is the best time for stalking/approaching a target because the environment is more in your favour(Darkness, animals) but even then ANY sound is magnified at night and will carry further and clearer then in the daylight.
Yes people practice martial arts, Yes people practice knife fighting. Alot of those skills have more practical uses in Physical fitness and discipline rather then in their actual employment.
I'm not saying that learning those skills are bad, I'm saying you have a plethora of better options in a combat environment which will keep you alive.
I'm a quiet moving person, i get complimented on it alot and even I find it difficult to advance on someone in the darkness at any reasonable speed.

Best method, MP5SD with subsonic rounds.
The only noise is the mechanical sound of the bolt.

Don't forget the sound of ejecting bullet cases and the sound when they hit the ground.

They would probably ignore that AND the bolt sound, assuming they are even close enough to hear it

If the cases land on a soft surface such as grass or dirt then I'd be inclined to agree, however, the sound of metal on gravel/concrete is very distinctive...
A quick experiment, try dropping a coin while your indoors around fairly quiet people and see how many look in curiosity.

Its not that hard to sneak up onto a sentry at night. And what i have been trying to say is that thuds and sounds happen all the time. Stealth warfare has been practiced SUCCESSFULLY for 1000's of years, and has proven effective.

No its not, especially with a half decent bit of cover with properly padded shoes AND an inkling of what you are doing outside. Its not that hard to move silently or fast.

seeing as how were generally talking soldiers, show me a quiet one and i will be inclined to agree.
Last thing, i guess you haven't spent much time in the country brn, i mean real country but you would know it gets real loud when night falls.

I don't know about you Spartan, but in the middle of the forest at night I can distinguish the sounds of movement from the general ambience of the area. That being said, I have no doubt that stealth warfare is a viable option with proper training and maybe just a bit of luck.

Spartan I spend alot of my time in the outdoors, and I spend alot of my time out at night.
It is hard to sneak up on someone. WHile most people don't recognize it you mentally catalog sounds. The racking of a Bolt, the snap of a twig, what a truck door closing sounds like. Wildlife makes noise and Wildlife is extremely adept as detecting changes in the environment(Smell, Sight, Sound) Your not only fighting to hide from people but Animals too. The moment you make a sound everything in the vicinity goes quiet. The absence of sound is as dead a giveaway as the deafening roar.
