They can? What about FJs, Volks, Grenadiers, Mp44 PzGrens and Storms?

Also I'm pretty sure they can't beat grens up close. You're thinking about volksgrenadiers.

MP44 PzGrens are upgraded. Storms and FJ are doctrinal, compare to Rangers which will beat both with no upgrades.

Rifles are a great unit, and if I could I would rather have a "6 man volks squad with STG45" that functions exactly like Rifles with BAR and SF than any Axis infantry.

More unit? You have got to be kidding me. We don't need any more new unit. This mod is already horribly unbalanced with the stupid amount of new units which tbh are un-needed. Yes new units add variety which is great but screws overs the whole idea of balance.

How about before we start suggesting new units which I know some people will suggest are gonna be completly silly and probly OP. We balance what we have already?

Soo...Vanilla Rifles beat any other unupgraded base infantry unit other than Grens. They can beat Grens up close.

They also beat any UPGRADED Infantry unit in the game with their upgrades.

Riflemen are really fine as is. I think that AB and Rangers should have some actual weapon options (AB Garands + 1 BAR maybe; Rangers with 2 BAR; no SF on either).

Let me know next couple times you have a vanilla riflesquad with some decent amount of kills, replay too. Easy with grens, with rifles..no.

Rifles vs volks is even.

No, rifles dont win vs grens, l2p.

Oh and incase you havent noticed, in EIR Grens are the base infantry for WM. Would be a different story if everyone used volks.

And no1 said there was anything wrong with Rifleman.

i never see rifles beat grens 1v1, maybe if they are in green cover and the grens move close, but usually if you move your rifles towards the grens, the grens will tear you up.

also vanilla pg seem to beat vanilla rifles quite consistently in my experience.

although i can agree with ampms gren cost increase.

Why would you ever charge a unit? Use shotblocking terrain to make them come to you or avoid fire, or just distract with another unit.

No, you wanted to add Allied Grenadiers.

I think regular Grens should go up, they are great as is and the reason you rarely see Volks.

No i didnt say that, learn to read pls. Also feel free to post where I said I wanted allied grenadiers.

Also you dont have to tell me that you want to up the gren cost, and they are the reason you dont see volks, as I just hinted to that myself before u.

exactly, why would someone charge grens? but charging grens is the only times ive seen rifles beat them. and i was just saying, if someone wanted to get close to grens where rifles have the advantage your rifles will get chewed up.

Or, make them come to you. Artillery, King of Battle, that's the key =)

If you can force them to move to you or die, you will win most any fight. It's why people fear Axis mortars.

It's why I run with a bunch of offmaps.
