There's cracks that removes origin if that's what you want.

I would also like to add I watch fox news everyday all day and will continue to watch it while being proud of that fact. I'm sure you enjoy your communist news network just as much.

Haven't had problems with Origin or the Battlelog, there are some clear errors that still need to be addressed in the battlelog but other than that the idea of a browser based launcher is pretty interesting.

Dafuq man, don't ask for proof if you'll refuse it if it's not in your favor, logic fallacy for the bloody win.

The issue some people have with origin isn't bugs or anything like that. It's about privacy and computer security. Many consider it a trojan and rather intrusive.

Aka, no more intrusive than half the things people use on a day to day basis anyway. But god forbid a game publisher do it. Worried about privacy? Get rid of computer and cell phone, drop off the grid. No bank, no cards, nothing. Then you have privacy.

I don't remember about any other EULA besides Origin's that clearly states you allow them to do it tbh.... I guess you got too used to have a finger up your ass on the states lmao.

The intrusiveness of Origin is in very poor taste. However, if you have nothing to hide then what is the point of missing out on a great multiplayer shooter? Especially since a large majority of major games do things similar to what Origin does. If it bugs people that bad then they can get active in politics and lobby their congressmen to pass laws restricting that kind of snoopery (which is how democracies are supposed to work. That's what I try to do). Boycotts are a futile gesture and won't get anybody anywhere when there's a 1000 people who will buy the game for every 1 person who won't. The bottom line is; nothing is ever going to change if the only forum people use to voice their disgust is the internet.

Honestly, the only thing I have a problem with is that you have to agree to the EULA before you can play the game AFTER you've already paid for it. At that point it goes from a company just trying to collect info to better their products for their customers or collect advertising info to sell which makes them more money to make better games (which is fine by me) to a company just acting like a dick.

The "If you got nothing to hide then you have nothing to fear" is a pretty shitty argument tbh.

What exactly makes it so intrusive?

god anyone who is SO worried about origin and shit like that make me laugh. if you have a facebook, or had a myspace, or use google mail, fuck if you use the internet period the kind of shit that's being collected on you in a game is nothing compared to all that other stuff. unless you are some kind of terrorist there's no data they are going to collect that's going to mean anything to you.

they arent collecting your SS card number or drivers license or crap like that they are collecting, "you like this this and this" and they are using that information to bring you ads about those things you like.

really what do you people that are so bothered by this think they are going to find or collect? if it's all that gay porn you have hiding the worst that's going to happen is some ad that would of featured a pretty woman might feature a hunky dude, get over it!

By agreeing to EA’s Origin EULA you allow EA to basically scan your entire hard drive. save it. and send it to 3rd parties for marketing purposes.

Other software like steam is only allowed to scan software connected to their own services. which is pretty normal because they need it to install patches and shit.

I got no problem in Origin yet. In reality you proboly have 5 other spybots on your computer other than origin. If you really want privacy getting rid of origin would be foolish. You would probably need to get some pro software and wipe the rest.

You will never see the program, and as it doesn't operate like spyware/malware your anti virus isn't going to tell you its there.

But the thing is they could do stuff like that if they wanted to and history has shown that companies have done far worse shit than that for profit. The other examples you put up is nowhere near as intrusive.

Also, to note there is a Huge difference in having your privacy violated, and signing it away.

I mean, they should at least pay YOU for making a profit off of your info.
