Yes I know the quality is fucking terrible, that's what happens when you have an extremely shitty laptop.

mister, why do u think my guys who backcapped them (3 rifles and 1 flamer) would have helped against a mass of heavy armour?  Roll Eyes

they did pretty well in the near of the enemy spawn and actually did a huge part for winning with capping tbh

although good shoutcast, well done

I would advise against describing the initial callins unit by unit. I would say for instance "A normal support start" or a "Mass infantry start" or a "Classic P4 start" etc. it gets a bit tedious, in a normal video people can see the units. (Not in yours, because its goddamn 240p)

Because either way you end up not mentioning all the other callins which makes it redundant. Oviously it could be interesting to mention that a sniper or a KT is called on, while some rifles might not warrant the same attention. The interesting aspect of the starts are how they measure up against each; for instance triple p4s would do good vs light AT starts.

I would also avoid descriptions that make the action less exciting; for instance "I dont care who wins between these kch/rangers" or "allies have a huge advantage" (suggesting that they will win or have it in the bag already)

To make it more interesting the caster always need to make predictions, the better and more concise the predictions the more entertaining they are. Not all the time of course. Stuff like "I think the plan of the axis is to entrench the middle" or "I believe the allies are thinking of calling on a lot of armor".

Depending on the mood you want to set you could call out obvious mistakes. For instance "he's not turnign his at guns, oops" or you could forego mentioning idle stuff and always focus on what the players are actually doing.

For a better quality video I would also keep the fog of war because line of sight helps explain why a player does what he does

Hopefully you will do more of these, EIRR casts are fun to watch.

I only took so long doing it because I knew the quality would be bad, although not as bad as it currently is -_-

I don't think saying something like "Allies have a huge advantage now" is making it any less exciting, or suggesting they already have won, it's just stating that they have done well to push up as far as they have, or whatever the case in point may be, and that the Axis need to work hard to fight back.

But yeah, first cast, it's difficult to catch and comment on every single thing, especially in a 3v3, when you're on your own and don't have a co-caster to catch everything else. I was just trying to get all the action, and evidently neglected to explain the more tactical side of the match.

Line of sight, I don't know, maybe in a strategy or explanational video, but not in just a straight up duke-fest I wouldn't say. I guess that's personal preference.

I actually had a lot of fun doing this, they're a lot more fun that I thought, but next time I want somebody more seasoned with me so we can talk more, and make sure we get everything.

I think me and david and elite can do one with you, but elite will not be speaking. He'll just supposedly be present, mute.
