Cromwells are effectively the speedy equivalent of the 75mm Sherman.

It's brilliant against infantry and support weapons, but it won't hold up to enemy fire for too long. It's primary defence is it's mobility.

It can engage any vehicle below a PIV but it won't do shit to proper medium armour and above (PIV's and up) or the assault guns such as the StuG or the Hetzer. The Cromwell can only do damage to these if you get on their flanks which usually results in your Cromwell getting the shit shot out of it before and true damage is done. If you want to destroy any form of armour with Cromwells, you'd have to use them in pairs with a CCT backing them up.

In a nutshell, it's extremely micro intensive and not recommended as they aren't too hard to counter if you have your head screwed on.

Keep a 6 pounder nearby to ward off tanks and let your Cromwell chew through the infantry in droves. It has very good splash and a fast reload rate (Even more pronounced when a CCT is present).

Unless your doing epic LV flanks as Brits, don't expect their armour to do a lot by itself. Support is key.

Piats in a bren carrier are also underrated and lethal on some maps.
