Better to have one unit in each platoon?
«

Hi,
I would like to know if its better to have 1 unit in each platoon as oppossed to several units in a platoon,
is there any downside to doing this? Ive seen people do this to have the most flexibility in a battle and it works out quite good in slow battles,
So if any one call tell me any downsides on this please do, or this could be some serious balance problem if there isnt (e.x. - extra rienforcement time to call in platoons)

The warmap is like Dukenukem Forever.
No one thinks it will ever be released, then several years after everyone has given up the little hope they have it gets released from out of nowhere. And then it turns out it sucks.

Yeah, if you have one man battalions towards the end of the battle your call-in timers for each of your units will be 1:00+, so it's good to put at least two units into each battalion or more.

Do not follow Demon's template. Your call-in timers will be minutes long.

honestly demon, every pop under 8 adds time to the standard call in timer above what the normal increase is.

In what kind of scenario can you fail to plan for a single grenadier squad? "Vanilla wehr" with single grenadier callins = stinker.
I can respect the pak I've had a thought shift from gren+pak to single paks as well it makes sense sometimes. Like when you just want to consolidate vs armor.
But yeah single grenadier callins are lol.

Your template is pretty bad, the call-ins will be a lot longer than they have to be. It's better to have 2 infantry in every platoon to save time and then also maybe have an HMG or engineer in that same platoon to save even more time.

no you are all wrong, overall flexibility of your company on bringing on what you need to fill in your company is crucial, instead of having to wait till two of your units fall in battle, you can keep your popcap to full.
wittman, computer, crimson, didnt beat the lot of you by waiting for popcap to be available, we were always bringing units on the field constantly.
ive already tested your shit tactic of having doubles of infantry, its the shittest company structure ive ever experienced, being forced to wait for a whole 5 extra pop is excruciating fail.

That's why you need both. You need 2x Infantry platoons to save time and you need 1x Infantry platoons to fill in the pop gap.
But it also depends on what type of company you have. If you want a focus on infantry then 2x infantry will probably suit you better where as 1x infantry will suit a player who focuses a lot on armor.
