1) Way for launcher to select a random map from the map list, battlefile will
only work
with this map
Effects: Reduces specialization of companies, because a lot of specialist companiesw are map depedant
Reduces spam, 1 unit type cant handle all maps
Removes the problem with some people refusing maps for whatever reason
Ensures a nice rotation of maps

I don't even think that would be possible, and either way, we don't want to force people to play certain maps, only entice them to.

I think its better if central command decides this, than whoever shouts the loudest in the lobby. At least there should be a mode in the launcher that decides the map beforehand. Some map makers are very vocal about their choice of map
We also had the "map of the week" thing which was pretty cool, but it needed to be "map of the day" rather than map of the week.

I agree 1000% to this type of thing.
In the pretty blue world where everyone loves each other and all is shared equally among the masses and everyone's task in life is to make another better, we could all agree on the map we want to play and no one would build map dependent companies.
However, in the real world.........
It would be really nice to see this mod become about skill and tatics rather than what can I spam, exploit, and abuse to ensure I have a massive advantage over my competitor. You know, you can't win by out smarting your opponent on the field, so just make sure you have an advantage before you get there.
Random game mods and random maps would take this game back to being a game of "in game" skills. It would not be limiting by any stretch of the imagination. It would only help people expand their abilities at micro, game skills, and tactics.
I think offering a carrot to people to play a map is for babies tbfh. What is this "here's a little treat if you try this map" bullshit anyway.
I say, Man up and learn to build a company that can handle any map or battle condition. Learn the skill of combined arms and the ability to change up on the move.
Or we could all just hold hands, sing kumbaya and hand out little treats for playing the special selected map of the day. While we are at it, let's dress this forum up with little flowers so we become comfortable with the little pussies we cater to here.

This alone would not handle spam. Actually, nothing we do standing alone will handle spam.
But each time we introduce something that makes spam less effective, lowers the amount of people who are going to spam.
Some types of spam simply do not work well on some maps. Not knowing the map you are going to play until you get there is going to make spam even more risky. The higher the risk, the less likely people will build it.

I think we are going to have an enticing mechanic with the warmap, which is dictated by the contested territories. Not a one or nothing map selection, although I do like the premise I think it would be to drastic of a decision.

Played a game last night where johnnyautism refused to play anything but bocage, we knew him and ampm were RCA, so we asked for different map, his team was also at a huge advantage, all good players, morka and i had a newer player on our team, so we said, well you have team advantage, let us pick the map. he refused, and of course they won, they could put their arty pieces in spawn. doing something like that is pure faggotry in my book, same with people refusing to play something like RTC when they have 88s.

And as certain event unfold on the warmap, i can either have scenarios (set maps etc) pop up. These scenarios will be ELO restricted, and provide ultra rare rewards.
