If offmaps are necessary to deal with support spam (they're not!), then there's clearly an issue considering some doctrines have no offmaps. That argument is terrible. However, offmaps in general are not a balance issue so much as a design direction issue, and this is off topic.

Every doctrine has access to a offmap <.< the only one I know is RE but it can not be considered as they have access to FOO.

FOO hardly counts as an offmap in the same sense as the others, considering it works completely differently than offmaps by (a) requiring a specific unit on the field (b) costing resources and (c) having a limited range, rather than being called in anywhere. It's no more of a support spam counter than, say, a mortar... which happens to be a pretty good counter, in fact.

Smurfornot is also correct - phosphorous strike is not what's standing between armour company and support spam.

It is however, still a offmap.

EVERY offmap should be called on the field like FOO. As a ability for units.

Then people would cry that their spotters don't have enough health, or that the range is too short

With some practice you can make foo always pay off

was just commenting on the community lol not the spotters (by the way wouldn't that be mirroring? thus the devs won't do it.)

Yes it is.

since, if you use it right, 90% of the time you will catch a pak + at least one supporting unit.

With a little bit of cover/shot blocker usage, you can use it again.

or lets not forget the always fun suppressive fire hmg + foo + enemy blob

(By the way tym, you target a pak with foo, it won't be able to pick up and run)
