Another interesting thing and material for discussion is that ALL vehicles will be able to be decrewed and stolen, not just tanks, even smaller vehicles like motorcycles.
This opens up the possibility to kill a motorcycle with a sniper. I think their roles probably have changed, bikes will be about scouting and providing some early game firepower while snipers will be more of a static support weapon kind of unit.
Yeah but I don't think it will be overpowered, as the chance of a tank decrew is pretty low as has been said. And if you take the tank it will be at 1% health or so, basically suicide during fire fight. But it will be more likely for players to clear and secure an empty tank to recrew it safely, which is a cool idea.
I just hope they don't let simple front soldiers mount enemy tanks, because conscripts taking a german tank and being able to drive is very very unbelievable.

I'm thinking it will be something along the lines of the Cuckoo Panther we have in EiRR, even if you repair the vehicle fully it won't operate at maximum efficiency due to an inexperienced crew.

The vehicle will be decrewed when it reaches low health or the enemy retreats his crew.
Also any squad will be able to drive any vehicle.

It looks like crew can pop up in tank to increase view range, but are highly vulnerable to enemy small arms fire while doing so, which can result in crew kills.
Other than that it looks like it is a dice roll, if the tank explodes or gets only decrewed when he is low %.
They said the crew would boil out of the tank and die, so we can expect some cool animations for crew deaths.

I think it's only supposed to happen when the tank is on low health, so it shouldn't be an issue.

Would be cool if they put down a little more realism and that every shot has a chance to kill/wound a crew member.

You know, dropped weapons are also pretty bad for competitive gameplay but that worked out alright.
EG, a dropped Shreck early on in the game can change everything for the Allied player if his AT isn't up to scratch already.
A game that runs on chance is never going to be perfect for competitive play - We'll just have to see how it rolls out.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.

At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

Seeing as there's no retreat button where infantry can pick up dropped weapons and run for tanks I think a sabotage tank ability would be good, giving you the option to stop him getting the tank or fight for longer

Yeah calbanes, I mean - some people like smokaz are still yet to win a single game, even though they've been around here for years.

even a single picked up schreck for the allies can turn a match in vcoh. and that can still be sort of avoided by the axis player (squad has to completely die and not retreat).
you can't retreat a tank, I don't think you will be able to recrew a tank as easily as picking up a schreck, imagine what a tank changing side can do to a match when a single schreck already has such a huge impact.
not good

Yeah but it won't be that easy to take it. It will be extremely low hp, meaning 1%, so pretty much everything on the field will be able to deliver the final hit. And it is the perfect bait tbh.

it will be the end of using vehicles for harassment tho, if it dies in enemy territory u won't be able to stop them from capping it.

Well all that depends on exactly how the system will work, details that they haven't given out yet. There's just too many unknowns to be prophesying about it.

Well i like it, if you rush a vehicle in, you need to be careful with it, as suiciding might help the enemy. They also said that bikes and jeeps can be recrewed afaik. Snipers can take out the "crew" on them. Atleast thats what one guy mentioned in his report.

Tanks will have longer range and the coaxial will be more effective. So you won't have to get as close to the enemy, so long as you scout. I also think that it won't be too difficult to deny the enemy your decrewed vehicle, one shot with any AT or artillery weapon will be enough to kill it. The same thing basically exists now, if you lose your m8 greyhound in enemy territory the enemy will be able to salvage it. It's still not a good idea to lose it.

Going to have to agree with leo here. It is a real shame to have another factor to lose the game with due to RNG. Hopefully they have something thought up to improve the system.
I also am curious on how the weather system will work. Will it randomly roll in through different parts of the map? If so thats also bad for competitive play. I could be wrong though.

Unlike stealing a support weapon, you have to repair the vehicle before you can steal it, which takes a lot of time.

There will be maps with snow and maps without snow, how much weather effects there are gonna be is up to the mapmaker (snowstorms etc). I imagine that snowstorms won't be a big gamebreaker, because it happens to both sides, I think it will just increase the importance of keeping your units in cover during a short period of time.
