I'm loving the Truesight system. Now you can't park a bike behind a building and utilise its driver's X-Ray scouting abilities to see what's going on behind it. So many tactical opportunities will come of this.

Flanking, ambushing and scouting ahead will become much more interesting and important mechanics in the game.

The other demo I played, the skirmish demo, was much more like Vcoh.

Remember the first missions in the original campaign, like D-Day or the first section of Carentan? Just like that demo you saw there those were heavily scripted to, it's pretty damn close if anything else.

So i got question, as this coh 2 is all about  eastern front or western front as well.

And r we able to play as american or brits as well in the multiplayer or skirmish coz.

And how long do you guys think to create  EIR 2 for coh2 if it is modable,if so r u guys gonna abandon this mod?

I don't want to buy coh 2 coz it is too damn expensive ,costs nearly 70 euros and so in no way i am paying that,i shall wait till it get get down to decent price,so i would like to be able to play eir till then
Regards gork.

Well EiR would certainly be up for a while afterwards. I don't know what kind of player numbers we'd manage with CoH2 released.

Ultimately our timeframe depends on how CoH2 is handled. With CoH 1 and EiR, we still use the Relic Online system which saves a lot in cost. We'll have to see how steam handles things. As long as it's not even remotely close to Games for Windows Live we should be good.

How do you know that COH2 won't better than EIR? I mean EIR is an improvement over COH. But COH2 is an even bigger improvement over COH.

The base building is really fairly meaningless in Company of Heroes compared to other RTS games though. You're confined to only one specific area in which you're able to construct your buildings, so in reality it only serves as a mechanic to allow for tiered gameplay. Aside from that, it is very much similar to EiRR's spawn points, with the difference being that in Company of Heroes you don't enter with a pre-arranged army.

As far as I know there is no persistency other than cosmetic stuff in multiplayer. And I am just assuming cosmetic upgrades will exist because they existed in DoW2
