You could only ever place those kind of demos on buildings. The 88 is not a building.

Why even bother with the demo charge when you can commandeer the gun with the engineers? Why not mine it, to the same, if not greater effect for making the enemy waste men trying to recapture it?

you definitely could target the 88 at some point in the past, and this should be re-added. its already a very narrowly defined upgrade and it fits the upgrade very well to be able to take out the 88 if they are dumb/complacent enough to allow a engineer squad to just get into range of it

mando demo charges vs engineer demo charges.. for PRICE.. and mandos can even get that ridicolous instantly recharging destroying-everything-recrewed ability

right now engi demos are just a grief weapon vs inf in buildings, or a very narrow and risky upgrade vs bunkers that are cheaper than the demo's themselves!

and whats even the real difference between something like a mg bunker and a 88? both are static defenses that are built.. just cause one is defined as a building in the rgd and another is a weapon_item or w/e doesn't it unreasonable to expect a demolition charge to take it out/be usable against it

If only for sheer entertainment purposes, placing an Engineer demo charge on an 88 should be a viable tactic.

sadly enough, I agree with smoker on this one, and to expand on that, just make them like mando demos so you can place them anywhere.

Make a duplicate entry and make it so it can't penetrate armor if you dont want it to be exactly like mano demos.

Agree with tym. Or hell, just give engies mando demos to make it simple, hike the price along with it (though, being engies, the price is probably fine as is).
