Sorry but i didnt understand it correctly then.

Well in CoD4 you run around and kill guys. in a strictly forwarded level.
In crysis you do the same. With some skills (powersuite) and open-ended levels.

(Go ahead try to sneak throw a level in CoD4 and take out enemys without killing them)

Also Crysis has a actuall Physic Engine!
It has Aliens! Gravity!

If you prefer easy gameplay i coud understand or if you love Modern Combat and dont like fureture settings. But for what gameplay reasonīs?

Yea, pretty much all bout the graphics, nothing else really new or innovative.

EvE Online for the win still.

Bullshit to all of the above Tongue.

I now bought the game and it is the most innovative shooter to have come out yet gameplay-wise. The graphics aren't just adornments to the game, they actually greatly enhance the game's gameplay because of its insane physics.

Nothing is cooler than shooting a tree to have it bend/break over and kill a enemy, then unleashing a bunch of logs down a hill is also grand.

The nano-suit attachments are ftw.

COD4 and Crysis are like opposites, COD4 is all about cinematic heavily scripted missions, while Crysis is one huge sandbox.
I must say though, the sniper mission in COD4 was absolutely amazing.

Problem with almost all the COD's is that the missions are completely predictable. Most of the times I find myself restarting missions to find a "special" place where I can kill all the enemies I am facing, since they always come from the exact same places. Crysis does not have that problem at all. "Dynamic" simply does not exist in COD.

You know, I prefer close-ended FPS' where you can only follow one or two paths, come across more scripted events, etc.
Imho that makes for a far more enjoyable game as it's fast-paced, action-packed and usually extremely epic.

HL2 is a great example of an awesome "restricted path" FPS.

Not really, we just tend to disagree on things.

And, I don't play FPS for their single player line. The multiplayer CoD4 is very good.

Unkn0wn, while that usually is true. Crysis actually manages to be all of those things while being dynamic all at the same time, which is the reason its one of the best FPS's out there. Crysis is epic.

COD4's mulitplayer is very good. But so is Crysis's.

Anyone else was so addicted to the demo that he played it on the hardest difficult without killing a enemy (Special attachment ftw!)?

(Crysis)

CoD4:
