Falls are fine as they are, most elite inf units are designed for a specific role, not to be a mirror unit, Falls have several weapon options, although id rather take G43 of riflenades, but w/e, they are a glass cannon, high rate of death, but can also dish out insane dmg when used in the right time and place.

They are are not main line inf as volks or grens, and their biggest weakness is suppression, nades and flames are real effective vs them as well, so always try and be in Y/G cover, or they will die, medkits are a must imo, also, untill you get vet 3, they are really fragile so flank, ambush, only hit and run tactics.

And what armor fits that role perfectly without making them overpowered in head to head fights?

(Hint: it starts with an A)

Could not resist answering this lol

Oh and you cannot buy g43s on falls anymore...that was ages ago.

Yes I know that we cannot buy g43s on falls anymore, but I just wished that our dear dear mod gods, could have removed the rifle grenades instead of the g43.

And you are wrong, while it is true that Airborne armor gives you a received acc bonus while moving, soldier works better while standing still in cover, so it is a total different story depending on what kind of use you want to have, fast moving and hit and run, or ambush being able to hold ground a little while longer.

There are a number of things that you can do and you have to take in account when constructing a company, centering around a single unit is risky, but can have a high pay off. What falls need is anti mg and tank support, all forms of inf they can take on relatively well, rangers u always use LaHt those fuckers are insanely good to have vs elite inf.

Yeah i believe heartmann is right about the soldier armour being the right armour for what falls are used for, and not the moving acc from airborne armour which can only be applied to when the unit is moving, which the falls shouldnt be doing.

hmm I always thought of fallschirmjaegers as assault infantry.

Well there's your problem right there.

Also, anybody who quotes squad HP is in a nugnug level of complete balance failure.

AFAIK they don't get any bonus out of ambush without the top t4 unlock.

Standard Falls have ambush bonuses without any doctrine unlock.

The modifiers are 25% increased accuracy and damage for 5 seconds. That's enough ambush for 2 volleys of Rifle fire or 2 bursts of FG42 fire at all but long range, with the possibility of 2 bursts should you roll the shortest cooldown possible on the first burst at long range.

Should you pull off a truly well coordinated ambush and get your target into close range, the normal cooldown modifier is fast enough to empty the entire magazine from each squad member within those 5 seconds. (0.2 cooldown modifier at close range, with a cooldown of 1.5 - 2.0 making for 0.3 - 0.4 seconds between each burst whilst at close range - For all intents and purposes it might as well be fully automatic fire)

Oh, and it's worth noting that FG42's have 1.02 incremental accuracy, meaning the more infantry present, the better. They also have 15% more accuracy against standard infantry armour off the bat.

I mean I know Obama was the first one in EiR to get a card. and tbfh the Race card is pretty OP. but Romney has the K.K.K., those guys seem to camo anywhere. So OP units from both sides.
At the end of the day, however, stormtroopers finally got the anal invasion with a cactus they have richly deserved for years.

Its a little silly calling Falls weak when they can kill a riflesquad seemingly faster then KCH and be gone in an instant.

Maybe it would help if you considered falls a improved defensive mainline infantry, rather then a elite infantry squad.

The only time falls might be able good offencives is when they spam smoke /w riflenades.

Falls are great counter attackers, come out of ambush and push. Other then that if you hop from cover to cover their dps out put makes them effective and generally their health isn't that much of an issue. Also their armor makes them resistant to most infantry on the ground, so don't rush rangers and tanks?

I've just started actually having them sit in cover and hold fire when the time is right, and ambush has impressed me. Before this they would just fire at max range and ruin their ambush buffs. Thanks for input/tips. This took my falls from great to excellent.

6 of them are on the leaderboards for highest vet PE units Wink

hehe great! It is hard to get used to using falls, but when you get more experience with them, and your proper use for them comes naturally, they become the worst threat on the battlefield. They will demolish any allied infantry squad that comes into close range from out of camo, and if you dont have any jeeps to spot them, you dont know where you can move to avoid being ambushed and loosing that squad right there.

regardless of HP i wouldnt rush any allied Elite Inf towards a falls group with FGs on them not to mention fausts.

if MP reduction cost, then there should a MU cost increase for the upgrades. Falls are deadly MFers.

I've yet to see anybody take away Heartmann's crown for Falls usage.

Once or twice, I've seen people have their moments. Heartmann however, he's consistent.
