Currently the map list is engineered by unknown, who doesn't play the mod and just drops by to lay deuces about non-existing Belgium on the forum. However this kind of stewardship is quite normal for EIR.
What is needed is for the public to speak up if it wants something - and I suspect there are a lot of people who want these maps back!
Dawn - the fantastic calliope/88 grindfest!
Lambert - Did you say forest or City? I will take both. This map is also a awesome grindfest with the foresty right side being often used for cloaked infantry ambushes or infantry flanks, with the roads on the left side allowing this to be flanked. But the middle is gritty house fighting.

Smokaz you should say Dawn winter, it's a collaborative work of me and Groundfire in making Dawn less annoying without bloom and some other tweaks.
(groundfire you still got the file? i don't)

The map files are a SMALL portion of the EIRR download, and they are updated very infrequently. If you want to talk size - look at the art files. You may only download them once but they are a much bigger strain than maps. Just to put sizes into perspective. It's also quite unfair to argue file size against maps that are finished and won't be updated anymore. More maps = larger download size, and if I had to choose between Lambert and Dawn, it'd be Dawn. So you voted for to not add either? Don't you think that if Me Dnice and GORKHALI love Dawn, we should be able play that in some games even if you, Puddin and EIRRMOD love the shit out of lambert? |

Dawn is pretty good actually, nice to play a map where the spawn points aren't miles away from the action. Lambert... well Lambert is fun for certain companies and certain companies only.
